I still like our forward group and depth better than theirs, but UND and DU both will have some of the best d-corps in the entire nation. -Rudolph, Lin, Fiddler, MacBeath, Jamieson vs. -Carels, MacKenzie, Verhoeff, Emery, Laurila, Lindberg UND has the edge on both high end skill and overall depth IMO, but those are both insane groups. 5 Quote

They are going to have a scary good top 6 that will make for 2 dangerous scoring lines. I’m also jealous they got Evan Murr because that guy is unbelievable and has a ton of college experience. Quote

I like what Larson did to revamp the Defense. I mean it's not UND/DU on the back end but he does have a real nice set of 7 to work with. Talk is we're lacking at C at the top and I can't argue with that. Maybe Larson has one more move this summer up his sleeve as he has plenty of roster room to make a legit move. I think the DuPont think was smoke and most Gopher fans knew it was wishful thinking. UND, Denver, MSU and Michigan appear to be loaded for next year. It should be incredible hockey. 1 Quote

Yeah, many thought that Minnesota would be devastated and decimated after their horrible year, but in today’s college environment, you can turn things around fast. They still will have their hands full with the Big Ten, but with the transfer portal, another year under the belt of some of their young talent, especially on defense, and hanging on to Ziemer, they are in much better position to compete. No doubt Minnesota will be looking to get off to a better start this year, so we better get up to speed fast. 1 Quote

But all of them will have young talent in key positions which may give them some growing pains, especially early, which we know is huge because of head to head conference matchups. Duluth has their big line back, plus added Victor Plante, and also Barrett Hall from St. Cloud, plus a veteran defense with Hanson, Kleber, Cleveland, Pionk, and Siepmann, and added Carter Murphy. They will need to replace Gajan though. Quote

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if yall are battling it out with Wisco for 3rd in the big 10 and hell if some breaks go Minny’s way who knows maybe even compete for top 2. Not as likely but never know with injuries + hockey can be random as we all know. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Re: replacing Gajan … somehow Duluth, and Denver, seem to always pull that off. Quote

I’m hoping that we will be tougher to play against though with the portal guys and returning forwards, and if our defense can get up to speed fast it will be quite the league race. Quote

Fiddler, Rudolph, Lin and Macbeath will be good, but I would imagine all 4 will develop at different rates, so who knows if they get up to speed before they play important games against other top teams. Western should be steady from the start. Quote
brianvf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Kind of expected, but looks like the Ruck twins heading back to MH for another year in the Dub. Wouldn't be surprised to see them playing NCAA hockey in their D+1 year though. 1 Quote

Hope we continue recruiting them hard throughout next season 1 Quote
cberkas Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Miami get Yegor Yegorov from Russia to help in goal. Very interesting pick up by Miami. Coming from the MHL and played 4 games in the VHL (KHL's AHL) and was with a KHL team but never played. Quote
