A saying "Let's Tackle the opponent and protect the Offense" for the d line!!! I hope we do that against Kansas St August 30th!!!

now make one for the d line  701 ________________

??

best is to tie sackcity and interception.  Have not given a bunch of thought to the logo but pressure defense.  Maybe #JYDs on the move.

Early (April) look at one ks fan ks offensive line projection. Notice Bismarck player

LT: George Fitzpatrick 6'6", 306#, junior, ohio state transfer
LG: Taylor Poitier 6'3", 300#, senior, bishop meige
C: Sam Hecht 6'4", 287#, senior, mill valley
RG: Andrew Leingang 6'6", 303#, senior, bismarck, nd
RT: Gus Hawkins 6'7", 304, r-freshman, mill valley

another fan in July offensive like projection  still shows leingang from Bismarck:

From what Coach K said I fully expect the Oline in Dublin to look like this - LT - Pastore; LG - Poitier; C - Hecht; RG - JB Nelson; RT - Leingang.

Another too early prediction about Kansas state saying they make the playoffs. Just looking for football talk. Not saying I agree. But ks could be a top 5 team in the big12 which has 16 teams. Saying this isn’t Nebraska only.

No. 4 seed – Kansas State Wildcats (Rose Bowl)
The final first-round bye goes to Kansas State, according to Athlon Sports. This will be the first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff for the Wildcats in year seven under head coach Chris Klieman.

Having won nine or more games in each of the last three seasons, Kansas State appears poised to take that next step in 2025. The Wildcats will not only have a first-round bye, but they’re also the only representative from the Big 12 in this prediction.”

would also, like to know what all sports TV packages are so I don’t sign up for unneeded packages

I heard espn+ for sure. I hope Midco finds a way to broadcast it but don’t know .  Nothing posted about it yet on the UND site - only espn+

Something featuring #JYD would be my vote for the defense.

ugh    Another rushing qb   going to be a challenge game for us.

K-State quarterback Avery Johnson is named among the top prospects to know for the 2026 NFL Draft by ESPN

I remember UND playing ok against some guy named Josh Allen. ;)

Kansas St. will be good in the Big 12. I’d personally say that they’re 3rd or 4th in the conference. AZ state, Baylor, and Texas Tech will all be great teams this year. It’s definitely the most chaotic P4 conference (as we saw last year), so anything can happen really.

lol he came in that game for 2 attempts.

DON'T TRY TO DISTRACT EVERYONE WITH YOUR FACTS!!! Did we or did we not beat him!?!?!?

Jk, I actually didn't remember that his action was so limited. That was so long ago, I had to listen to the game on the radio, I don't think there was a streaming option for that game. I do remember it being Santiago's breakout game.

Would love to see us make a splash against K-State. I get that we should be there to try to win, but I'll be happy if we play well and pass the eye test. Can't expect Schmidt to step in and have everything perfect and all the right players from the get-go, but I'm hoping he actually brings a coaching aspect that could change the game. I think about all of the opportunities UND has had to win some FBS games where some different coaching could have helps. Bowling Green, Utah State ... even Iowa State and Nebraska. Three of those we fun games, but one team's coach made adjustments, while the other team's coach was thinking about how not to stumble during the Griddy.

I digress, can't wait for football!!

And this is why expectation is to show up and simply beat Kansas State. First off, nothing to lose. Second off, North Dakota State and South Dakota State (where we want to get to) have shown it can consistently be done. Thirdly, the games you mention show how close the talent really is, just comes down to execution and closing and an ability to win games on the road, something previous coaching staff struggled mightily with.

Bottomline, beat Kansas State. It is the expectation. Season is by no means ruined after only 1 game if it doesn’t happen, but it should be the expectation starting off here with the Schmidt era.
Go JYDs-make a splash
