AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Mooney whiffs on the empty net. Luckily Ziemer didn't. Quote

Blackheart Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 4-2 Gofs with a minute to go…this would be good for Sioux Quote

brianvf Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Outshot 39-15 but still won. Certainly never cheer for a UMN win, but that should help UND. Even brings #2 overall within reach for UND if they take care of business the next few weeks. 1 Quote

He just hasn't looked as strong as he did pre injury (where Nelson accidentally on purpose ran him over). Quote

Ran over would be Pionk running over Cam Quote

Nelson didn't intentionally take him out, but he certainly didn't try his hardest to stop or not go through Ivankovic. Just my $0.02 Quote
.357 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Michigan still at #2 overall, but they took a huge hit tonight in the NPI, went from approx. 59.4 to 58.6. UND is lurking right behind them like a jealous ex. If UND can do well this weekend at WMU, #2 is well within reach; provided that their 2nd period demons have been exorcized. MN almost won in ot the last time they met, so MI is far from invincible. These are the types of games that heavily-favorite teams often see in the national tournament: outshooting the opposing goalie over 2:1 & either barely winning or getting sent home early after a great regular season. Playing around with the NPI calculator and looking at just Michigan and UND...tomorrow if Michigan beats the Gofs and Sioux beat Western, the Sioux and Wolverines would essentially be tied. I know that's not perfect because I only input results in for those two games but North Dakota could still make some moves in the NPI if they play decent from now until the NCAA's. 1 Quote
