SiouxFanatic Posted Sunday at 04:20 AM Posted Sunday at 04:20 AM That should be no goal. Reminds me of natty game where UND seemingly scored but Denver goalie caught puck in glove which it looked like puck/glove was past the line. Quote

rochsioux Posted Sunday at 04:25 AM Posted Sunday at 04:25 AM The refs flat out suck. There is absolutely no way that ref should have ever signaled a goal. No way he could see where the puck was, only that one Denver player was celebrating. On replay no goal…just pathetic. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted Monday at 10:39 PM Posted Monday at 10:39 PM BU hockey article after their loss to Vermont puts them at .500 on the season: https://hockey.dailyfreepress.com/2025/12/07/bu-mens-hockey-is-in-uncharted-territory-why-and-is-there-a-way-out/ Quote Boisvert is an interesting case here. The North Dakota transfer arrived with high expectations after a strong freshman year in Grand Forks. But the goal scorer has managed just one goal in 11 games — the lone tally coming on opening night. The lingering injury that cost him six games has undoubtedly limited his production, but even so, BU needs more from him. And this is shocking after watching OMac play for three seasons: Quote On the defensive side of the puck, BU’s forwards have left much to be desired. Outside of Roukounakis, Merrill, Brandon Svoboda and Jonathan Morello, the forward group seems like it doesn’t want to get dirty. They play like they are entitled. 2 Quote

beastandco Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Corey Pronman has Gavin McKenna at number 4 on his updated draft board. I seriously wonder if he plays another year of college hockey and how that affects his NIL deal. I cannot imagine Penn State’s boosters see this as money well spent. Quote

He's point per game 10 days away from his 18th birthday. I think if he plays one more year of college hockey he'll put up some big numbers. Quote
Brett0909 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If Gavin does fall down the draft board, it’ll be interesting to see how that affects perspective on top CHL draft picks taking the NCAA route. Obviously Verhoeff and others being watched closely as well. On one side, the CHL will be pushing the narrative that it hurts your draft stock and he’s under performing because the NCAA is “bad” in some way, not because the level of play in the CHL (and consequently how it prepares you for the next level) is lower. On the other side, and this is how I feel, if he’s not ready to dominate the NCAA he definitely isn’t ready for the NHL. What would dominating against CHL kids this year have done for his development, versus the NCAA exposing his opportunities and challenging him to raise his performance to meet? I’m sure it will depend on the kid and his family/advisors whether his ego wants to believe he’s the best and needs to be drafted number one, or he’s realistic about doing the hard work to become the best. 1 Quote
tnt Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don’t think the points McKenna is putting up are bad, but it was curious to me why he chose Penn State to develop, as they hardly have the pedigree defensively to develop him on that aspect of the game. Shouldn’t the goal be to get prepared for the next level, not just reinforce what you are already good at. Getting ready for a long NHL career should be the focus. Quote
