And no one called Raboin a chippah. You said he would be unable to recruit chippahs and responses followed. As a player he was not recruited and worked his balls off to start basically every game in 4 years and was named to two all WCHA teams.

Mike McMahon of College Hockey News reporting tonight that those in the coaching circle believe Dane Jackson will be promoted but North Dakota has reached out to at least 1 other sitting division 1 head coach.

Act tough? Expressing my growing frustration with a horribly underperforming athletic department isn't an "act". It's a sentiment shared by a lot of other people.

And what's "so damn cringe" is the passive and apathetic approach to UND athletics that this institution has adopted since moving up to Division I over 15 years ago.

I'm sick of the alibis.

I'm sick of the excuses.

I'm sick of the losing.

I'm sick of being the laughingstock of the Dakotas, while the "My oh my" show keeps rolling along 75 miles south of UND's campus.

Maybe if you would spend more time paying attention to all this and less time complaining about my dissatisfaction, you'd get why some of us are thermonuclear p!$$ed about the state of UND athletics.

I won't go personal over a message board, but look back and see who I referenced before being more generic...it was the associate head at Michigan.  Yes, Michigan.  Not Augustana...a school where you might need a pulse to attend.  Michigan is a program with many championships, an elite academic institution basically on par with Ivy, a track record into the NTDP and Hockey Canada.  I don't know why the love affair with Rabboin...It appears he is being groomed as a high end coach, he might be a great coach and great guy, but the coach of Augustana now the head coach of the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux?  That is a hard pill for an old guy like me.

Very strange, don't get why only reaching out to 1 sitting D1 coach. You'd think UND would want a wide selection to choose from so the best option can be had.
