2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

The coaches and the collective need to be out getting information to people. Set up a booth at home game of all the sports. Work with UND and have them announce during the games about donating to the collective (ASU does this at every home game). Advertise about the collective during broadcasts (again UND could help with this). At UND events like the fan lunch before a home weekend or alumni events talk about the collective. This still can be done while hiring a coach and filling a roster for the hockey team and nothing stopping football, basketball, etc.... from talking about it. Either they are being lazy or not putting in the effort, it's like the Spitting Chicklets video Berry basically relied on that to recruit players and didn't actually get out there and recruit.

US Senators might not be stronger than the B1G or SEC or NCAA but they do set the tax code.

How many of those people even know their alma mater sponsors hockey?

We have always had to go up against bigger schools with bigger enrollment and larger numbers of alumni. This is just another challenge for us to overcome.

We can either 1) Rise up to meet it or 2) Give up and don't even try. I'm choosing #1.

I’m definitely not saying we don’t try because we need to give everything we have. But the sheer size of those schools matter, even if they have large football and basketball programs

I agree with this. We need to hear about the collective more and how it helps recruit and retain them once they're on campus.

From Schloss today it sounds like Heil is going back to Madison next year, and Huson won't be with the team.

The Czechian kid that played for Dubuque intrigues me.  Good size, and turns 21 in May.  Think about those who will argue about the 25 year old Czechians in our lineup in four years.

It’s probably because the guy running the collective is using it as a side gig to his state government job and running toasted frog and Bonzer’s… Any school serious about NIL has a full time staff running their collective. 1883 is a joke. Might be time for someone else to step up with some financial backing to put together something legit.
