If Perron wants NIL money and gets persuaded, let him walk. However, I'd say you could probably pencil him in for 11-15 goals next year. That's hard to replace. I hope UND can retain all their players, they could have a nice team next year with a few more additions of some Canadian Juniors or a portal player or two.

Wish hockey recruiting was more public and covered like it is in football. Would be nice to know who is going after CHLers like Gavin McKenna, Cameron Schmidt, Roger McQueen, Ryan Roobroeck, Jackson Smith etc.

As for Perron, feel like he's gone. Just hasn't taken off at UND like everyone thought he would.

At the end of the day, they'll fill out a team next year come hell or high water with a new coach. It's sports.

If players leave because this coach (who wasn’t developing them) was released it tells me (a) the inmates were running the asylum and (b) the change was warranted and needed.

We weren’t keeping 4; there’s not more for him to learn at this level and he’s already playing 30+ minutes.

26 was playing for his ELC this season. 

18 is a turnover machine that is light like a freshman.

If 4 goes pro, fine. If he transfers, that’s where it’s hard to swallow.

You think Detroit gives him an ELC this year, they tell him to go back to UND, or even tell him to go to the portal to find somewhere better?

Yzerman/Draper might not think he's ready for the A yet, Grand Rapids already pretty deep up front.

UND's D-core is deep. Why would he transfer? I understand if he goes and signs a pro deal.

I've been saying Perron is gone since the end of January. Things were not good with the whole team. Like a disaster. Players trying to sleep with other players girlfriends. Maybe someone should ask Dane how he broke his wrist?
