-penalties were bad.  Took 5.

-End of the day dust yourselves off and play tomorrow.

-PK was good.  Cant take 5.  Too many good players in this league.

-Full sixty (c)

-Guys battled.

-Perron will be evaluated.

-Foot on gas tomorrow.  Gotta build each period.

Is that from tonight's interview or a compilation of every single interview done this year?

Remember when what got this forum riled up the most was constantly being sent out east?

Yeah, and UND won  the NCAA Beanpot beating BU and BC in the regional...I wanna say 2005?

Only got to see the third period but it looked like more of the same stuff we've been seeing all year.  Yes, there were some bad bounces but holy f*ck, what's it gonna take to light a fire under this team's ass?  Five losses in a row to CC...let that sink in for a while.  F*ck!  Tomorrow we're playing for scholarships.

A lot of them are beating a dead horse.

The fear of guys transferring out can't override the need to get rid of this entire coaching staff. The new coach has to be able to bring in his own guys. And the new coach doesn't have to be a UND alum.

You aint' lying.

B-rad from the postgame press conference...

"The game was on the line in the third period and we didn't play to our identity," Berry said.

Once again, what the hell is UND's identity?  Is it taking stupid penalties in a tight game knowing that our PK is horrible?  Is it playing a whole 40?  Oops, sorry, 60!  Is it the fact that guys seem to be regressing throughout the season?  Other than the jumble puzzle of line combinations, I'm not sure what the staff is doing to get the team to where they want to be.  Eff it, I'm just pissed off and tired of losing to CC.

I"ll always want the boys in green to win, but my desire for Berry to be gone is now greater.

I echo the same opinion. If that makes me a bandwagon fan or bad fan then so be it.

Who does Chaves report to?

I agree with you. Unfortunately, there are certain individuals here who will insist that President Armacost has absolutely nothing to do with what happens in the athletic department. These same individuals will also insist that Chaves is a great A.D. who serves on a bunch of committees and brought the prestigious, all important Alston Awards to UND.

I, on the other hand, think that if Chaves isn't willing to make the necessary changes within the athletic department, it's time to replace him with someone who will.

Klavs Veinbergs scored a pair of power-play goals to continue sending the Fighting Hawks' penalty kill into the abyss. It now ranks tied for 58th nationally at 74.2 percent. The only teams with a worse penalty kill are 4-24-1 Northern Michigan, 4-21-4 Mercyhurst, 10-15-2 RPI, 5-15-2 Yale and 10-16-2 Ferris State.

UND's struggles in the faceoff dot highlighted the penalty killing problem.

The Tigers went 41-26 in faceoffs. Noah Laba, who starts the power play, was 13-3.

I wonder when the last time our PK was this bad?

Props to James...he was in on all four UND goals with 2g/2a.
Same to Livanavage...3 pt night and now leads the team in points.
Also...OMac had great hustle to track down that CC player who was going for the ENG and poke the puck away.

That's about it.
Hopefully Perron can go tomorrow...if not, hope it's not long-term.

So several hours later, I have to say:

This team is anything but hard to play against.  They are soft on defense and only average on the forecheck.

Goaltending is sub par.  We keep seeing "peer" teams with better.

East-West seems to be more of UND's system than "Get North".  Especially in our own zone - opt to shove the puck across the zone (or just stand there and hesitate) and let it get turned over.

This coaching staff has run its course.  I hope we have meaningful change after the SECOND season where UND was ranked #4 preseason, but ended up (presumably) missing the playoffs.  This era is done.

You're a fool of you think the AD has the power to fire the head coach of the hockey program without the President's approval.

Everytime you say Chaves name you must then include Armacost.

Armacost runs the entire university.

Chave's boss is Armacost.

Fire Armacost for not firing Berry!

Don't worry just remember it's not your grandparents Colorado College anymore.

Parity has happened remember.

UND just can't be as good anymore because of parity.

Two decades of wasted UND hockey...

20 years....

Only two championship game appearances...

😔

We're what we despised (the gophers).

Sad but true.

We all had such high expectations with the new Ralph.

Reality is hard to face.
