Average Kenpom rank of 272, career win percentage less than 40%, currently 2 games under .500, has had 1 winning season (finished 1 game over .500), 1 SLT win, never beat ndsu twice in a season. I think I’m about done with the program

I get it. He does have 4 SLT wins.

Need the university to start properly funding a basketball program.

The university needs to get rid of Covid as well. And the transfer portal. And NIL. And the SLT being in Sioux Falls.

The irony … extended 3-years after losing 83-66 at home to in-state rival…

I respect the work, but expectations are low. Raising pay is important, but won’t matter unless the job is opened to attract better candidates. It highlights UND MBB’s weak finances currently …likely the worst Summit League coaching job. Hockey hockey hockey. No reallocation to help the little guy, just keep recycling to the bell cow. Strategy is a bit stale I’d say but it is the culture.

Hope funding improves soon.

Maybe the men’s team should get more revenue like butts in the seats that equals to winning

Winning, environment, facilities all bring butts to the seats, not the other way around …

hockey gets the butts because of the Ralph and winning (mostly the Ralph). Pure and Simple.

Betty is underwhelming. Need new facility and wins to get the butts you speak of

funding and facilities are hot topics for und basketball and need to be to help take und athletics to the next level

Ag college of nd took und to the cleaners this year in both mens and women’s basketball … sad

I think we all kind of knew an extension was going to happen. I just hope something was done to greatly reduce the buyout in year three. You'd think Chaves would have learned his lesson from Bubba's last extension.

Ahh yes … good players and good coaching … and the title of this thread is …

reality is in this day and age funds and facilities (mostly funds) drive acquisition of said players and coaches.

Little different era now in college athletics than the D2 days of the Hyslop
