Fair point.

I feel that the hockey team historically has been THE team at UND and I’m hoping both teams have the same passionate fans. Appreciate was not the right word.

I responded that I was refuting the claim that Bubba had never won a playoff game in 11 years, which was factually incorrect. You can put whatever you want next to it, but it did happen.

The venue helps hockey of course. However it has been pointed out that many are there as a social event. Looking forward to UND being a hockey/football school again.

The social event is true. I was with friends last winter. They have a suite. We watched the first period (Denver game) in the suite then bounced around to various other suites and I bet we didn't watch the game for more than a period and a half.

one thing the alerus natzi's can do if you want to make it a social event (again).

free up the catwalk ffs...even expand on it...make a billinoaires row ( @gfhockey ) BELOW the catwalk like the few rows in the bars at the ralph....you would be literally right on top of the action....drinks served in seat...on both sides AND add an outdoor bar hangout area on the southside over looking the parking lot that can be used til the snow flies...

an at the betty....reno the bar area so the whole bar is open to the court down below..not just the little opening in the middle......put a new bar on the west side overlooking the lobby and put in 3 or 4 row for the billionaires ( @gfhockey ) with in seat drinks and whatnot...sofa and chairs...more big screens...food beer and views....

One thing that would help is if our own fans wouldn’t yell at their brethren to sit down. BTW this happened at the NDSU game two years ago so it’s not exactly like it was Murray State at home.

got the same treatment in our playoff game v richmond...stupid

An usher even came over and told me I had to sit. I was polite as I could be in reminding him there is no such rule and also pointed out the 5,000 people right in front of us on their feet.

1/4 =playoff bid-on the road 1st round 

2/4=playoff - top 16 host 

3/4=playoff - top 8 host and 1st round bye 

4/4=playoff - conference champs- top 1 or 2 seed

Completely agree, hence earlier posts I’ve made about this (and some of the older generation at the game) - we all have to do our part to enhance the atmosphere and energy in the Alerus Center. Football is a game of energy and passion, and sitting down all game is the exact opposite.

Im always standing. Never had a problem before but im not on the rich people side of stadium.

I don't think a lot of thought went into these projections. I suspect they simply assumed that any future games would be won by the higher ranked team based upon the most recent polls, regardless of where the game is being played. For example, they are likely assuming that SDSU will win out, including at UND, which appears to be a pretty questionable assumption at this point.

Alot has to be said about this team and the new coaching staff. At this point of the season, it just feels like I expect the team to win the next away game vs. South Dakota on the road. In the past I have had hopes of winning, but little expectations. The head coach has completely changed my mindset about the progress of the program. I still would be surprised if UND knocked off NDSU and SDSU, but i also could see an upset taking place.
