I am not a fan of Moorhead. Don’t they get a lot of transfers in?

Red River and WF was a treat.  Setting up for a dandy in the EDC tournament.

They're youth program is insane.  I don't think they get a ton of transfers.  If people move their it's generally in the youth.

They have I think 5 bantam teams. We played their A in a tourney in Fergus and that didn't go well

Ryan Suter's kid is on the bantam AA team. I've never known Ryan to live in Moorhead.

Yeah I've heard that.  There's very few that don't play youth hockey in Moorhead and that show up on their HS team.  Suter situation isn't normal there.

There a quite a few that don't live in Moorhead that play youth hockey in Moorhead. With online school all you need is a Moorhead address to play hockey here. I was told, but have no way to verify, that Moorhead is one of the cities with the highest number of complaints to Minnesota hockey.

I know they get a lot of Fargo on the girls team, I honestly thought the boys was mostly homegrown.

But yeah...as gfhockey stated, there's a lot o moving and shaking that goes on in MN regarding hockey.  Boys and Girls.

Moorhead has had their share of transfers.  Not the entire team but some difference makers

I mean there's a reason Hermantown is also on a historic run.  Transfer away, as long as the rules aren't bent.  It is the way in MN....if you ain't transerrin' you ain't tryin'.

I saw the end of RR and WF, and that was a great game.  The purist in me hates to see a shootout at the end of a battle like that, but seems like we gotta have our shootouts nowadays.  

Friday night of the EDC tournament those two teams are on a collision course for round 3 in the late semifinal.  I don't see either team having a hiccup really.  Red River likely to finish #2, WF #3.

Early season, I thought perhaps the East was down and maybe Minot and then even 2/3 would have a punchers chance on Thursday at state.  Looks like it'll just be the annual tradition once again.

As good as Minot has been, I'd say there's still a 50/50 chance they lose their first game of the season 1st round of state and the east has a 4-0 sweep. I'd like to see them win to make it a 3-1 east 2nd round and to go on to win the title...but top Minot teams have a history of choking for whatever reason.
