farce poobah Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 http://www.uscho.com/news/2005/03/25_010468.php On the topic of the hit on Bina, I am especially impressed by his ability to remove strong personal feelings from the content. Textbook journalism. Excellent read. Quote
DMT Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Nice artile...and you didn't even have to self promote. Quote
kfah1 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 An excellent recap on the road the Sioux have travelled this year to where they are at today! Go Sioux!!!! Quote
ESPNInsider Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 PCM, No message board love Could have at least said: "Sioux message boards were pretty quiet about the subject of the hit from behind. Message board users were instead concentrating on Kobe Bryant." Quote
PCM Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Does this mean Prpich is back? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I forgot to ask. That's why I'm a sudo-reporter. Quote
Fedorov Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I guess the main thing I am missing from that article is how far they are going to go in the playoffs. I kind of need to know for picking the winner brackets. Quote
ScottM Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 This seems like an appropriate thread, so here's what the sudo-reporters at the Boston Hurled have to say about the Sioux, and the game. Hurled Edit: Nice job, Pat, but it's "Xcel", not Excel. /spelling Nazi Quote
brianvf Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Does this mean Prpich is back? According to this article, it says that he is still day-to-day: The status of UND junior forward Mike Prpich continues to be listed as "day to day" by Hakstol. If Prpich can't play, UND will piece together a fourth line most likely consisting of Quinn Fylling, Lee Marvin and Scott Foyt Quote
dagies Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 If PCM isn't proud enough to shill his own article I'm not going to read it. Quote
Cratter Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Matt Greene in the Boston Herald: ``If it kept going a couple more weekends without it going our way, I think some guys would have had some nervous breakdowns. But once that happened, once we started to get the bounces and the goaltending started to go our way - we were getting spectacular saves - it was a huge weight off our shoulders.'' Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 ... it says that he is still day-to-day ... But aren't we all? Quote
farce poobah Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 If PCM isn't proud enough to shill his own article I'm not going to read it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you should read it. Would it help if I said he paid me to shill his article? Quote
7>4 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Great read PCM. It makes me all the more fired up for tonight. No TV coverage here so will be relying on updates from the faithful. My favorite quote from the whole article: "There's never a game that doesn't count," McMahon said. "We're coached that way. Every game counts. Every shift counts. . ." Quote
NDFAN Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 No TV coverage??? I thought it was on everywhere! Quote
7>4 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 No TV coverage??? I thought it was on everywhere! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We get CC-Colgate live and UW/Michigan on tape delay at midnight. I only have Fox Rocky Mountain and Altitude on my cable package. Is there another option I am overlooking??? Quote
NDFAN Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 We'll I'm sure there will be a play by play thread going. Quote
dagies Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I think you should read it. Would it help if I said he paid me to shill his article? Oh all right........ Hey, that was pretty good! Great article, PCM! How can you NOT root for these guys? Quote
brianvf Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 My favorite quote from the whole article: "There's never a game that doesn't count," McMahon said. "We're coached that way. Every game counts. Every shift counts. . ." Sure contradicts what Lucia said after the 3rd place game.... Quote
Godsmack Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Here is the link to uscho.com of the tv schedule. My understanding is that the Sioux/BU game WILL be televised. http://www.uscho.com/m/ncaad1/?data=tv2005 Quote
PCM Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Edit: Nice job, Pat, but it's "Xcel", not Excel. /spelling Nazi <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DOH! I knew that. I've probably typed "Xcel" a hundred times. When you get old, the finger-brain coordination isn't what it used to be. Quote
farce poobah Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 I thought it was intentional. I heard that great writers always leave in one mistake. Quote
