You are correct.  I defend him many times.  Many judge in the moment.  Now we have 3 great freshman.  Hang on for great times.

Think some people forget about all the little big things he brings to the floor…has done that since he stepped on campus

As intriguing and successful this starting lineup is, just as intriguing is those who are not seeing the floor anymore. Gotta love the confidence our freshman have.

Great to see Matt, Brady and T play well too. What's most intriguing about the guys who are not seeing the floor anymore? Mitch, Nero, Levias, Reid...

Didn’t get to watch the game but I see BJ and Brady combined for 39 points on only 14 shots. That is insane

It was a parade of free throws in that 2nd half.

What I learned last night:

-This team has grown a lot in the month of February.  Many light bulbs have clicked for this team.

-Danielson has made himself into a solid Divison 1 player.

-BJ Omot is the next Q.  He has IT.

Just think about this:  If they had 1 more push left in them... they sweep this road trip.

Now go home and get two against WIU and UST.

When I watch Omot he seems like not doing much and all of a sudden he is up to 18 points, takes over in crunch time.

trey is coming along nicely, didn’t realize how long his arms are, several nice drives yesterday

I am pleasantly surprised at the growth of this team. Now we just need to hang onto our underclassmen.

And that my friend, will be the million dollar question this offseason.

Absolutely! I would think with this late season success and momentum they would want to stay and have an even better season next year. But in today’s college basketball scene you just never know!

Winning always helps but yeah who knows.

Have our two previous Summit FOYs enjoyed  similar successes in the systems they transferred into?  Probably apples and oranges with all the different variables at play. But I wonder if it really was better for them to bolt. Bruns prolly does like to play close to home. Here’s to not going three years in a row giving up our freshmen phenoms to the TP.

Ihenacho is a no

I hate how often I think about the possibilities if even half the players didn’t transfer. While I don’t think it’s gone completely to plan for Ihenacho, his is far from the worst outcome for the individuals, in my opinion. Seybian Sims has to be the worst.

I think with Bruns at USD now, we’re seeing how maybe the situation he was in last year made him look a lot better than he was. Bruns is a good player and will get better but I think it’s pretty clear Mayo was easily the best freshman in the Summit last year.
I think injuries have derailed most of Tyrees time at JMU. He’s still started about half the games he’s played in while at JMU. Have no idea how you’d project what injuries he would or wouldn’t have if he stayed at UND.
The player I’m most worried about losing is the guy that once held an offer from Providence. BJ can be special, I just hope we get 3 more years to see it in Grand Forks

Yeah Mayo was for sure the best freshman, Bruns just had the counting stats due to being on an awful team.

BJ I think is everyone’s fear. Guy is just so talented on both ends of the floor.
