I get height for blocks, but damn having a true hammer hitter gets way more points than blocks does in any match. I don't care if she is 510". Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 So UND got a big weekend sweep over Sac and PSU, and now bring host the Montanas next. Hopefully looking at 7-1 by next Saturday night Quote

Eastern Washington beat Northern Arizona. Best record hosts tournament and 3 way tie between us, Sac St and NAU. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Crushing Montana State tonight at the Betty. Up 2-0 right now Quote
Dustin Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 UND up 2-0 over the bobcats at the break with not too much trouble. Hitting 0.356 to MSU's 0.067, and 4 blocks. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 That UND astrophysics department commercial was enthralling. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 rolling right along to another sweep. 6-1 and Montana on Saturday. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 SUU springs the upset over Sac State, looks to be a tie between UND and NAU at the top Quote

We are like 10th in own conference. Oddly enough I think I saw we are 2nd in digs in conference which is surprising with how the beginning of the year was. Also they have a pretty prolific outside hitter. To end the season UND has to go to NAU on Thursday and then fly back home to play Saturday at like noon game against UNC. Which is only team to beat us so far in conference and even worse it was in 3 sets. Quote

Dustin Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 So, Steph Ziegler came in to serve the last point - had she played previously? If she has, I haven't noticed. I was figuring she was being red-shirted. Quote

Dustin Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Tight contest in set 1 - 25-23 UND. I would guess set 2 will be better. Quote
Dustin Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 UND breezes the rest of the way with matching 25-16 scores in sets 2 and 3. 7-1 at the halfway point of the conference season. 1 Quote
Cratter Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Congrats ladies on a great first half of conference play. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Outside hitters like Bruggeman, Merseli, and Kaczorowska seemed to have really stepped up their games. Merseli and Fraase seem to have upped their defensive games and Griffin has been outstanding at setting. Before, the offense seemed to rely too much on Moser and Dooley, but it's more balanced now. NAU, SAC, and UNC will be tough, but a BSC championship is in reach. Quote
Dustin Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I was examining the standings and schedules and realized that to this point UND has done enough to control its own destiny as far as being regular season champions and hosting the post season tournament. Just have to keep winning all the rest of their games. (The same could be said of NAU too). Not saying it's going to happen, but it's kind of nice not to have to depend on other teams winning or losing. Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 This road trip to ISU and Weber will be a little tricky however. If they can get by that with a sweep... they could be 11-1 by the time that key 4 game stretch comes at the end of the season Quote
dakotadan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Ladies also took set two. I believe it was 25-21. Quote
Dustin Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 UND gets the second set, too. Another close but can't remember the exact score! Quote
dakotadan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 ISU came out swinging in the third and are up 14-5. Quote
