AZSIOUX Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 7:07 Puck drop @ The Ralphwalk on goalie to get first career start Will berry will have enough to fill in 18 skaters? Quote
Fetch Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It will be interesting how Tomek got hurt &/or why he was not ready for start of season & why do we not have 3 top goalies competing for the job ? Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) It will be interesting how Tomek got hurt &/or why he was not ready for start of season & why do we not have 3 top goalies competing for the job ? Getting hurt can happen to anyone. There isn't a team that has three top goalies. Doesn't work like that in college. This is a rare situation. Tomek from sounds shouldn't be that far away. The walk ons will be asked a huge task. Just try not and lose the damn game ha. That means stay out of the box as the PK is beyond brutal. Edited October 17, 2015 by AZSIOUX 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 UND is 2nd to last in PK nation wide. Walk-on goalie making first start. Possibly could dress less than 18 skaters. Adds up to a 4-3 UND win from my calculations. 1 Quote
Fetch Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Penalty kill has been a strong suit of ours for a long time ? ? ? Quote
brianvf Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 why do we not have 3 top goalies competing for the job ?I think it has something to do with 2 of them being injured. Quote
burd Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Dang, Fetch, someone steal your controversy or did you just wake up confused? Edited October 17, 2015 by burd Quote
keikla Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Penalty kill has been a strong suit of ours for a long time ? ? ?Every single one of our PK'ers from last year graduated except one, and he's out until February. I'd imagine there will be a little bit of a learning curve as guys adjust to new responsibilities. Quote

keikla Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 nope, gage, stecher, Ladue, Johnson, chyz all played tons of pk last year.Sorry, I was referring to forwards, since that's where we lost the majority of players. Quote
yzerman19 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Playing on the PK is like rebounding in BB.....effort and desire.and winning draws on the pk is also huge. We have not been good there this year. Quote
Fetch Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I don't think our "experienced D" are feeling real good today Quote
keikla Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) As expected, Cam is out tonight. Wolanin is back, but playing LW. Gersich and Janatuinen still out. All info from Brad.Wolanin showed some amazing offensive skill in Portland. Maybe he's played up there before? Edited October 17, 2015 by keikla Quote
brianvf Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 We're already back to the point of the season where we have dmen playing forward spots due to injuries. In record time! Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 4th goalie sounds like a mass up name ha@SchlossmanGF: Cam Johnson will not dress tonight. Your goalies will be walk-ons Matt Hrynkiw and Bob Anderson. Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Johnboy will be attending his first UND hockey game tonight. Excited I get to see a walk-on in goal. 1 Quote
