SiouxFanatic Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 So who is going to take North Dakota's spot in the tournament when Hakstol declines the bid as the #2 overall seed tomorrow? Wisconsin? They had it last year didn't they? Quote
jk Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 It looks like there is one spot left. If Michigan wins, they get it. If they lose, they're out. Then, a Miami win puts their old rival Bowling Green in. A St. Cloud win puts Providence in instead. If the committee goes strictly 1-16, 2-15, etc., UND would draw whichever of those three teams makes it in the next hour or so. Edit: Now the YATC is kicking out a different result. It looks like it is either Michigan or Providence. Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Yep. I get the same. Our first opponent next weekend is going to be either Michigan(if they win) or Providence. Quote

cberkas Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 The committee might put Providence in Providence. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I don't need to see Providence again..... Me neither. Gillies is just as good as Zane. Providence has improved a lot since coming to Grand Forks earlier in the season. Plus that Mark Jankowski is no longer injured for them. @cberkas: True, it'll be interesting to see what they decide. Cromulent Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 If Minnesota wins is there any chance the committee swaps providence for Quinnipiac or Yale since we already played providence this year? I'm not sure if avoiding repeats of regular season matchups matters to the committee or not. I hope not. I'd rather face providence again than either of those other two teams. Quote

Everyone has been putting Providence in Providence for attendance reasons. Quote
Go Redskins Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Everyone has been putting Providence in Providence of attendance reasons. Throw Minnesota state there too while they're at it. We want south bend. Quote

Cromulent Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Everyone has been putting Providence in Providence for attendance reasons. I didn't think to look at the regional locations. I can't imagine providence doesn't play in their backyard. Looking like Quinnipiac. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Minnesota beats Michigan 4-2 I think we are headed for a Minnesota NCAA title. Quote
cberkas Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I think we are headed for a Minnesota NCAA title. They are very beatable. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Is Miami the 4th #1 no matter what the pairwise predictor won't load for me anymore? If that is the case and they keep Providence in Providence my guess is Mankato would then probably stay in South Bend so that they would still face RIT while Miami would go to Providence to face Providence. fightingsioux4life Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 They are very beatable. They seem to have found their mojo from last year. That is what concerns me. Quote
Godsmack Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 So Michigan lost. That means they're out and likely we draw the Gophers? Quote
