The lines go fast for entry....if youre a regular like most on here should be you should know about the "secret shorter" lines by now. See they have a "grab and go" section for quick chips and pop for skipping long lines. Nice touch. Nice new automatic doors between the hotel and arena. Nice touch. No complaints from my end....just still waiting for them to build a club lounge on the end zone walkways on a newly installed second floor above the walkers. grab and go? explain a little 1 Quote

Its in a corner of the alerus you go in the end grab chips and a pop and pay..."the line is the shopping." But no line cause it's quick. I had previously "complained" how they needed vending machines for people who just want a water or soda and don't want to wait in the long lines for one small item. This is a nice solution. That was until I discovered Chik Fil A hadn't had any lines yet and their chicken sandwhickens are essentially grab and go no waiting. 1 Quote

Depth perception wasn’t great when they were on the opposite side but once they got onto our side it was really great. Helps a lot that they’re lifted up a couple feet off the ground Quote

Big Green Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Do the Students pay anything for their Tailgate lot? I think is is time to take it away. It sounded like a good idea to get students to the game, but in reality 90% or more of the students come for the tailgating than leave. The ones that make it into the game leave at halftime. Besides that they leave it a mess when they leave. Why is the Alerus/und providing them another place to party. Open the lot back up to paid parking or charge the student the same amount for their tailgating spots as the general public. End of Rant. 1 1 1 Quote

Big Green Posted October 13 Posted October 13 What the heck happened with the team being late coming onto the field? Is that on the team for not being really to come out or is the announcer supposed to wait until the team is really, than make the announcement? Sure would be nice if the band/cheerleaders created a tunnel/lane for the team to run out between. It would just look better. Now the run out and need to make a sharp left to avoid the band. 3 Quote

Big Green Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Last rant. At halftime can the kickers not wait until the band is done with their halftime performance? The band is a very important part of a college football experience. The teams should stay off the field until a set time. Say the team came back out 5 minutes before the start of the 2nd half. If you suck as a FG kicker the extra few minutes a half time is not going to all of a sudden make you a good kicker. Just seems rude to me. 1 Quote

Go to a concert if the focus is the music. Players can use the playing surface to warm up appropriately whenever they want, so long as the game isn’t actively being played; and on that note, the band still needs to improve their timing, in terms of game action. They should be quiet when UND offense has the ball, and play only to celebrate first downs and touchdowns. 6 Quote

Not that I disagree but for numerous reasons this won't happen. They used to have large dumpsters there for them to at least try to put their beer cans in - not that it stopped most of them from just dropping them in the parking lot. At least they are far enough out that it doesn't disturb most of the tailgaters. Quote

Agreed it is a little disrespectful to the band, perhaps they are getting back at them for playing right up until the snap when we have the ball 2 Quote

The band adds so much to the atmosphere of a football game. They should be given the respect to play without having to watch for flying footballs. Respect the band and they can add so much more to the game. Agree on timing for the band. I think an assistant coach or intern should go to a band practice and work on timing and ways to get the other student involved throughout the whole game. Besides just playing in heaven there is not beer after scores. 1 2 Quote
