SiouxVolley Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Hoping for an uneventful trip to the airport in the morning. They have to drive to Salt Lake for an airplane, so if its snowing it not a pleasant trip, even without Hardee. Quote
MafiaMan Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 UNC 25-18 UNC wins 3-0 Nice season UND, but its over. UNC was just to athletic. That's unfortunate. Congrats on a nice season though. Good job, ladies! Quote

Dustin Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Northern Colorado swept Idaho St. To win the Big Sky championship. they started the year slow, but really turned it on when it counted. I hope they can knock off their NCAA tournament opponent and represent Big Sky VB well. One year soon UND will have that chance. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Northern Colorado drew Colorado in the first round. The winner plays Colo St/Denver with all games in Ft Collins. Colorado must be a seven seed, so Northern Colorado got placed as a 12th seed. But geography played a major role. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Why does it seem like the Big Sky finished so early compared to the NCAA tournament. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Why does it seem like the Big Sky finished so early compared to the NCAA tournament.Nearly all conferences don't schedule tournaments during Thanksgiving week. Some teams try to get non-conference opponents to keep fresh before the NCAA tournament. But mostly, college volleyball takes the week off, probably out of tradition. Quote
SiouxScore Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Saw this on VolleyTalk in the D1 Transfers thread: "Unrelated, but North Dakota OH2 Anna Pioske will be transferring to Concordia-St Paul for her final 2 seasons of eligibility. She has been a key player for UND both years. Concordia is restocking pretty well." http://volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/56171/d1-transfers-2015?page=5 Quote

Hardee recruited Pioske, so she was probably more comfortable last year. Best of luck to her whatever her plans are. Quote

SiouxVolley Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 N Colorado put up a good fight to Colorado, but lost 3-1. The PAC12 teams are normally very good. Colo will be tested by Colo St in the next round. Colo St is one of the few G5 programs that can give good P5 schools a run for the money and should be favored. Quote
Dustin Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Jeremiah Larsen is new coach of Weber State. I believe he was one of the finalists for UND's job last year. http://www.bigskyconf.com/news/2015/1/9/WVBALL_0109152817.aspx Quote
petey23 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I heard over the weekend that our coach is quietly on the radar of a couple schools. Quote
