Oxbow6 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Oxbow, let's go play 18 some time in Fargo. With wadders and arm floaties on or without? Quote
Cratter Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I'm thinking August. When the snows finally gone. Quote
Cratter Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I've seen 2-4", 5-10" and 7-14" on various predictions but all say heaviest from Devils Lake to GF and north of Fargo. I tend to ignore Hutch...an extremist. Believe he predicted a tsunami/tornado combo during the flood of '11!!! These guys now predict dire things to cover there asses. The NWW. Learned from gf in 97. Oxbow6 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So much for waking up to 2-4"...can see sun rising in the east. Will see what today holds as storm moving into region slower than predicted. 12"+ Bismarck to Devils Lake. 6-12" in Fargo. Quote

This thing is going to start around noon and last Monday. I was hoping the late start meant it was going to die out...guess not. Quote
NDSU grad Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Just started snowing in Minot. No accumulation yet. Looks like Bismarck is getting hammered though. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Buddy just texted me from Bis...12" already there. It is just starting to get cranked up here in Fargo. Quote

Not much accumulation in town yet, but it might be blowing around....I can only see a small part of the driveway and the road from my window. Quote
jodcon Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Interstate now closed at ND/Mt border, looks like 94 is bad all across ND. EDIT: Closed from MT border to Mandan, getting bad further East too. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 FYI...just 75 days until the days start getting shorter!!! Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Taken in Halliday, and iti still snowing. Great pic. Still can't believe the Wolverines lost to Sargent Central. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Since he is now free during the week, maybe A-hole Eddie and Al Gore can fly into Fargo tomorrow for a town hall meeting to discuss global warming in our region and how slave labor is positively affecting certain internet sales!!! Quote

Sorry to blow your science hating mind but this is part of climatic change. Quote
petey23 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Sorry to blow your science hating mind but this is part of climatic change. Yep. Been going on for a few billion years. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Sorry to blow your science hating mind but this is part of climatic change. Warning: global warming may cause unseasonably cold temperatures. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 9.5" in south Fargo and still snowing lightly. Buddy in Bismarck said they got 18"+. Quote
GeauxSioux Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Yep. Been going on for a few billion years. Do you mean to tell me that this has happened before?? http://www.globalresearch.ca/global-warming-or-the-new-ice-age-fear-of-the-big-freeze/30336 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Fargo now taking their flood protection up to 43'. Flood stage is 18'. Quote
darell1976 Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 I don't care how protected Fargo is...when we hit levels in the 40's there is too much that could go wrong. For one thing you have hardly any way to get across into Moorhead except Main Ave or I-94. So you have a traffic nightmare in an evacuation, plus the VA dike goes to 45 and if the river gets to that...my house an probably all of North Fargo goes under. Lets hope for a crest of under 40!!! Quote
Oxbow6 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Rumor I heard thru some people in "the know" is that city officials think 38' is a given but 40' is a stretch. Quote
