Frozen4sioux
Let's see your picks.... True seedings place BC and BU in St. Paul with Minnesota..... No way NC$$ lets that happen Is think UMtc and UMduluth will be flipped.

Smoggy
Yeah I don't see NCAA telling the #1 overall east coast school that they have to travel half way across the country to end up possibly facing the Gophers on home ice. Therefore Michigan gets screwed in that scenario because we will go to Green Bay where they know we've sent fans. Unless that bus rule comes in for Michigan. RedFrog
This thing is a mess. Trying to keep bracket integrity is going to be VERY hard if you want to maintain some sort of geographical relevance. I'm going to give it a try and see what I come up with. Also, there is no more 'bus rule' in NCAA Mens Hockey. Edit: Who are the host schools? Is Minnesota the only host school in the tourney field? Frozen4sioux
True Bracketology sends BC and BU to st paul.....never will happen I see UM and UMD being switchedabout My first try....i see a trip east although GB is a possibility Northeast Worcester Mass 1 BC vs 16 AF 7UMDuluth vs 9 BU West St. Paul 2 Michigan vs 15 Mich State 8 UMtc vs 10 Maine Midwest Green Bay 3 Union vs 14 Western Michigan 6 Ferris vs 11 Denver East -bridgeport 4 UND vs 13 Cornell 5 Miami vs 12 Mass-Lowell

Smoggy
So I'm doing this off my head but it should be #4 us vs. #13 Cornell and #5 Miami playing #12 Umass-Lowell. Put that in Green Bay. Keep BC out east and send Michigan to St. Paul to try and keep seeds.

Wilbur
This thing is an absolute mess. They try to stay away from interconference first round games, but thats almost impossible with Western and Michigan State being where they're at. BC, love them or hate them, deserves to play the lowest seeded team (Air Force) as the number one seed. You can't skip three seeds down for Michigan to play Cornell. The NC$$ has some splainin to do tomorrow after they make their selections.

SiouxTupa
I thought they placed the top seeds first. Which would put Mich in GB and UND likely in St Paul.
Smoggy
why wouldnt und go to st paul Messes up bracket integrity. UMN is #8 and should be placed in the #1 overall's regional. We are a #4 so by us being placed with umtc it would be punishing other schools by them having to be placed with "tougher" competition. nodakvindy
I don't really see it going this way, but I think this bracket would be the best attendance wise and still maintain the best bracket integrity. Unless you literally put people in their own backyard (think BC and BU in Worcester), the only legit travelling fan base is the Green and White. UND still makes Green Bay a winner with no Bucky in the field. With all the flights between Minneapolis and Detroit, Michigan's fans probably turn out better at St. Paul than Green Bay. What Should Happen Worcester 1 Boston College 4 Michigan State 2 Minnesota-Duluth 3 Boston University St. Paul 1 Michigan 4 Air Force 2 Minnesota vs 3 Maine Bridgeport 1 Union 4 Western Michigan 2 Ferris State 3 Massachusetts-Lowell Green Bay 1 North Dakota 4 Cornell 2 Miami 3 Denver What probably will happen Worcester 1 Boston College 4 Air Force 2 Minnesota-Duluth 3 Boston University St. Paul 1 North Dakota 4 Western Michigan 2 Minnesota vs 3 Maine Bridgeport 1 Union 4 Michigan State 2 Miami 3 Massachusetts-Lowell Green Bay 1 Michigan 4 Cornell 2 Ferris State 3 Denver
Clark17
nope. Host schools first. That doesn't appear to be the case when Moy does his weekly blog. He places the number one seeds first at thier respective regionals. Am I missing something? This bracket looks straight forward to me. The Mich./MSU first rounder is a bit of a curveball, not sure if they'll swap a 15 and 13, but it may be more fair than the 15/16 swap. Host schools have to play at their site so you might as well place them and then figure out where to put #1's accordingly. Then after make any changes you feel necessary. sagard
Placing the #1s. BC - Somewhere out East. Mich - Closest is GB. Union - Somewhere else out East. UND - St. Paul Gophers - St. Paul Host. Let's hope the boys can take care of business and have one more game for the ages! I just don't seen any scenerio where the Gophers and UND aren't in St. Paul.
