    Anyone else seen the UND version of the Blackhawks Maplesoft Hawks logo? It's basically the same, but more angular, green, and not even as good looking. Anyway, I saw it a couple times last month, and can't trace it down again.

    Here it is with the interlocking ND inserted in the wreath. Fits nicely.

    I like it too, especially with the ND inside the wreath instead. I also thought the giant bird on the Firebirds/Trans Ams was a cool image.

    Ralph Engelstad was a great guy to UND. Did a lot for the school and athletics. Like him I'm a huge Sioux supporter. Will be voting Roughriders again, Hawks is the worst name ever (I highly suspect that "Fighting" will be dropped from the official name.) However, maybe Ralph wouldn't have much of a problem with Hawks since it means we could transition to something this. The soldiers that wore it were pretty into fighting if I recall and a lot of North Dakotans have German background. Win-win, right?

    I've also seen one that's only a little different from that blackhawks bird logo everyone has been seeing. It's green and more angular with the feathers from the Sioux logo in the same order. I just tried searching for 10 minutes to find it, but had no luck. I just saw it last week so it's driving me nuts I can't track it down again.

    The comments on that article have a post from Gridiron Labs. They said they worked this summer and have designs for a couple of the top 5 names. Did anyone ever see what they had created?

    That Roughriders logo that was posted a few pages back was really cool. Did a google search for it and saw it's one of the Cedar Rapids hockey logo. I like all their logos too.

    Because adding that third name basically guarantees Fighting Hawks still wins. If it was only the top two, there's tons more votes to divvy up between Hawks and Roughriders.
