This actually is pretty accurate. 

Subsidies are having to make existing schools whole due to a declining media contract. MWC is throwing things against the wall (huge entrance fee, no media rights for extended periods) to see actually how desperate Ndsu is. And they are going along for the ride. Nothing says "we really want you" like taking a prospective member to the tool shed. 

Still a little skeptical unless the financial side is just absurd against a new member given the MWC media contract was just signed and it wasn't great. Unless any new prospective member will not receive money until the next one is negotiated or something similar. Or their entrance fee covers whatever they might get down the road, basically making it a neutral financial impact for everyone.

plus any time your adding low hanging fruit you get meetings at the denver airport and the "conference" you thought you were joining is chopped into 2...the high fruit and the low fruit....no way unlv and air force will be ok with this regardless if the ndac pays the ramson fees

I don't think the current NFL players from NDSU make enough to even fund a small fraction of this.  I have heard it is private donations from alumni and big $$$ people in western ND.

The MAC is a bus league.   They won't ever expand where they have park the bus and fly.   I think they do a lot of midweek games too which can't be very appealing for tailgating or driving in from 3 hours out.   MAC is a hard pass for me.

Glass half full perspective for UND for sure, but as history has taught us, UND leadership can’t just sit on the sideline and hope things just fall into their lap.
UND will fail if that happens.

Strategic action planning and eventually action from UND is necessary, also, to successfully rebuttal this.

FCS isn't just a different planet than FBS, it's a different solar system.

This is a much bigger move, where the big $$$$$ P4 programs can buy and sell the G6 programs many times over.

The problem is, then the Summit is down to 7 members and we'd be screwed.  NDSU would probably find a way to get everything into the MW and move on.   I can't see cutting off your nose to spite your face.   And I'm not convinced anyone in the Summit cares and can't see why they would.   This is barking up the wrong tree, the same with sponsoring Summit football.   It's a non starter.
