The Whistler
IMO this series will come down to one thing...special teams. UND is 0-19 on the PP in their last 2 series. We're due.

Oxbow6
Weekend Preview: UND vs. Denver Discuss. Dave Agree that if UND gets 3 (+) goals each night, they'll get points in both games. Will that happen??? We are not exactly lighting it up.
Goon
So far, North Dakota seemingly has no answer for the benefits Gwozdecky enjoys from the referees. (Full disclosure: the WCHA league office is in Denver) I believe this is the elephant in the room.

Siouxman
It is an embarrassment to the WCHA that this weekends results probably hinge on how effective Gwoz is in whining to the refs.
locofrijole
KICK SOME ASS SIOUX!!!! If were talking about fighting... just let the 2 coaches go at it, that would be a good game. all the way from Iraq.. go sioux!!

Pretty much the same thing every weekend. The games hinge on the lack of professionalism of the officials.

I can bet that will be discussed at the WCHA meetings after the season is over.

Shawn-O
I can bet that will be discussed at the WCHA meetings after the season is over. Why? It's a problem from the top down and has been for literally decades. We will continue to live with it, watch it, and whine about it on the internet. The situation isn't changing anytime soon. dagies
They are the ones that benifitted from 6 or 7 power plays in a row and the walk across the ice he seems to be out there a lot. Wasn't his problem that the Sioux had had several PP in a row? Maybe I'm mistaken.

The Whistler
Wasn't his problem that the Sioux had had several PP in a row? Maybe I'm mistaken. This is the game box score (Thanks Doogie!) that he got thrown out and we ended the game with 5 straight penalties on us. http://siouxsports.com/hockey/result/20090124/
Goon
Wasn't his problem that the Sioux had had several PP in a row? Maybe I'm mistaken. Apparently there was a memo that stated that UND is the only team can have penalties called against them when they play the Pioneers. Gwoz aka the Dasher Troll is a Moron. I also think he is pompous, smug, condescending and arrogant. Other than that he is a great guy.

I still think it's going to take 3 goals tonight to get us a point or 2.
