What's Wrong with Fighting Sioux

The government has given Native American's a lot of opportunity. They get a lot of benefits when attending college. How many take that path? Very few. They get a lot of money not only because of the suffering of their people many years ago, but to help them get a jump start in life and make something of themselves. What do they do? Waste the money and choose to live in poverish conditions. Not every Native American does this, and I commend the ones who don't. The ones that live off the system will always do just that, though, and that's the majority.

On a reservation near me, the state took money to build them nice houses to live in on their reservations instead of run-down mobile homes. The Native Americans on that reservation welcomed their new free houses, only to run those down so bad they weren't liveable anymore, so back to the trailer homes they went.

That's the problem with this new Socialist attitude our government has. They want to give money to the poor so they can make something of themselves, the only problem is it will never work, because those people will only go and buy the latest high-definition television with every channel imaginable while drinking themselves further into poverty. If you really want to make something of yourself, there are ways to do it, most just choose not to...not because it's not possible.

I'm all for providing Native Americans with what they need in order to succeed, if they actually put in the effort to do just that...succeed. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. That's why building them a nice facility to play hockey in will only become another run-down facility while some people who want to lead normal lives on the reservation will go without clean water and without heat in the winter.

I really feel for the people who want to be something, but can't...so don't get confused with what I said. It's just that you have to face the facts when it comes to the situation, and that is most of them don't want to be something in life.

Thanks for your opinion Glenn Beck. Stereotyping offers so much on this forum. You should be commended. I hope your show continues to do well.

Stereotyping?

Do you live on or near a reservation? What Big wrote about are facts. I've seen it, and you can go to most reservations and see it. Unfortunate, yes. But it's true.

The collective spirit of the native people has been broken for a very long time and the victim and overtly racist mentality promoted by RHHIT, David Gipp and various effete white elitists (see holier than thou college professors, NC00 officials and administrators) only serve to continue that tragedy. It is cloaked in things like "racist epithets really are being directed towards NA's at sporting events" and "appropriation of culture" etc but the victim mentality is really all it is. How is the NA collective spirit resurrected? I don't know but I am sure that it starts at the grass roots level and it does not involve either simply throwing money at it or continual racist propagandizing courtesy of RHHIT, various white professors, etc.

Glen Beck is one of the top televison talk show hosts on the dial right now. He is kicking the crap out of Ed Schultz and Keith Overbite countdown to no ratings.

LOL, that pretty much describes the state of affairs of our country right now, running around spending others money.

What it boils down to is Americans who try and make good decisions & make something of their lives are being forced to support people that continually make poor decisions & screw their lives up. That's the bottom line.

Another fan of the Great One, Mark Levin! I tune out on NBC football's studio coverage on account of this clown.

I used to be a big fan of Olberman when he was on ESPN, now I can't even stand to watch him on his NBC bit on Sunday nights. Sometimes I'll turn it over to MSNBC to check out his show...Worst show in the World.

Mark Levin is an idiot who is incapable of arguing any of his positions so he resorts to calling names. He wouldn't last a second in a debate with Olbermann or Schultz because they'd actually be able to articulate their position while Levin lacks the mental capacity to articulate nearly anything.

Glen Beck on the other hand is either seriously mentally ill or is one of the all time greatest attention whores in human history. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he says some of the asinine things he says to get attention but it still shouldn't give him a pass for the outright lies that he promotes on his show. It's all a moot point as both will probably be jobless within five years due to the diminishing influence of right- wing talk radio.

Sorry to go on a politics tangent here but it was already going this direction so I thought I'd get my shots in before this forum gets locked down.

Really!!! Mark Levin is a sucessful lawyer and was part of the Reagan administration and look at the ratings NO-ONE watches Keith Overbite count down to no rating and Ed "the blow hard" Schultz. Lastly, when was the last time these two clowns wrote a book that spent multiple weeks on the New York Times best seller list Like the book Liberty and Tyranny?

Ed Schultz and good should not be in the same sentence unless it is "Good bye Ed Schultz" or "Good Riddance Ed Shultz" or "Good move by the administration to fire Ed Shultz" etc.

He lived around the corner from my parents place in Fargo. Funny there were charges of animal abuse and some interesting police visits there. Don't know what all the police visits were about.

He means the guy that called the 2001 National Champion Sioux Football team!!!! (and yes once a former Bison voice but he came over to the good side.)

Ed never came over to the good side. He just went where the cash was. There was a rumor within the last few years that he was interested in working Bison games again. If you look in the dictionary under the word mercenary you will see a picture of Ed Schulz.

Glen Beck flat out called our President a racist and said he has a "deep seeded hatred for white people." It doesn't get any dumber than that. Unless we're talking about Hannity...and...Limbaugh...and...Levin...and...Coulter....idiots all.

The only stupid thing Glen Beck did was assume that Black people can be racists.

And the only thing dumb about the rest of your statement is the underlying assumptions that:

A. If you speak out against Obama YOU are racist and an idiot

B. If you disagree with the Democratic party line, you are an idiot and probably a racist.

Well, if that's the case, I'll just go ahead and claim I'm a racist and you're free to call me an idiot if you want. Name calling usually is an admission of defeat anyways.

I haven't spoken out against Obama, but I don't support him either. And don't give me that rubbish about how we should all just shut up and do the best to support our President. If people did that for George W. Bush, I would, but they didn't so I won't. And yeah, Bush wasn't a good President, but he WAS President.

I am a racist already because I support the nickname and I don't believe in racial equality for however long people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (and Farakhan by extension) are empowered individuals in our society. Their JOB is based upon racism. Its in their best interest for racism to continue.

Sorry to get all political but seriously... the amount of BS that goes on based solely on political party lines in this country is simply unbelievable. It sometimes even make totalitarian dictatorship look SANE.

Doesn't Beck know that Obama himself is half white, with a living white grandmother. Beck is a dumbass.

So is the incident where he shot his dog hunting? Schultz is a moron and would get creamed in an election. I didn't like him when he was the voice of the Sioux or a Republican.
