Goon Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I always liked the UAA webcast, thought it was good quality, especially for a free service. Although the wolve howl or whatever it is can be annoying. Yeah I watched both games on the GCI internet cast a few years ago and they were awesome and I watched SCSU last season but I was a little diappointed. The FSSN schedule says both games are on this weekend 1007 or something like that. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Midcontinent is utterly retarded. There only having the game air for residents in Grand Forks? I'm from Minot and on the list that FSSN released it shows 2 very little and minor cable companies located in Minot will be airing the games. Almost everyone in Minot who has cable is subscribed to Midcontinent. Very stupid. Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 That is a really dumb rule. They must have some agreement or something to only have it shown here. Yeah I'm not sure. Either that or they just didn't have any intentions of making it statewide and FSSN on there part made deals with other affiliates. I did send an email though and this is what I got: Thank you for contacting Midcontinent Communications. At this time we do not offer the UND hockey game in Minot, however, I have submitted a request for you. While we cannot guarantee that the games will be added, we do want you to know that this request will be considered. I don't like the chances. However, those of you who live in Minot please drop Midcontinent an email requesting they air the games this weekend! Increase the chances at least. Edit: Now according to Brad S. that the games will be aired across all FSSN cable systems including Midcontinent. So maybe the customer service person simply didn't know? Who to believe... Quote
Siouxman Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I would have to think that Genoway is going to be a finalist for the Hobey this season. I was impressed with his play this past weekend I thought Chay and Blood played well together. Blood is playing very well also. He is one cool guy back there and he is big and tough. Quote

Fighting Sioux site says all midcontinent http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.d...TCLID=204817102 The broadcast will be produced by GCI Cable in Anchorage. The games will be carried live on all Fighting Sioux Sports Network cable systems, including Midcontinent Communications and all other independent Fighting Sioux Sports Network affiliates. 1 Quote
iceberg Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 on the positive side, the UAA broadcasts have somewhat normal audio. For 3+ years they had audio so loud it was distorted. This year they toned it down a lot so its not too bad but same sucky graphics...no clock. Just a score in the corner 1 Quote
808287 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 are you sure? Fighting Sioux site says all midcontinent http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.d...TCLID=204817102 Any clue if this includes the satellite feed? Thanks! Quote
iceberg Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Since those other cable companies are involved too (the smaller indy ones) I would hazard a guess and say yes. 1 Quote

BudLight Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 So I understand I can watch the webcast. But will it also be on the radio? I'm in Fargo. Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 So I understand I can watch the webcast. But will it also be on the radio? I'm in Fargo. KFGO 790 AM should have all UND hockey games on live in the Fargo area. Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I'm assuming it'll be on SiouXtra...right? Quote
siouxforce19 Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I'm assuming it'll be on SiouXtra...right? not likely b/c it's not a FSSN broadcast b/c last year FSSN picked up the UAA and Wisco games and they were not on webcast at fightingsioux.com because we just picked up a feed. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 would be nice to see fienhage and dell get 1 game each this weekend if hak chooses to. i like the way our forwards have been playing. bruneteau had some nice hits friday and knight played solid saturday. the thing is they are so different in styles so interesting flip flop. wonder who will be on the trip as the extra forward?? Quote
BudLight Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Bruneteau, Hill, and Maris are all not making the trip. Dell will most likely start Friday night. Quote
