AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Schloss' article mentions that OMac was there for it. Good for him, he played well with Blake. Quote

Unless Parsons really struggles or gets injured, I can't see Leaman giving him much playing time except against some of the weaker HEA teams Quote
Blackheart Posted Monday at 03:09 AM Posted Monday at 03:09 AM He never actually played for UND but he would have except for a horrible accident. I don't have a subscription to Star Trib but there is an article about former Sioux recruit George Pelawa in today's paper. https://varsity.startribune.com/george-pelawas-death-and-40-years-of-unrelenting-grief-for-brother-joe/601758146?utm_source=startribune&utm_medium=referral&utmCampaign=homepage 1 Quote

brianvf Posted Tuesday at 05:46 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:46 AM Nice article on Stecher in the Herald: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/troy-stecher-returns-for-unds-pro-camp-with-624-nhl-games-and-lessons-to-share Quote Stecher singled out his class of defensemen, along with Paul LaDue, Gage Ausmus and Keaton Thompson. "Every single day was a competition between us," he said. "There were some fist fights in the garages. There were some fist fights in 4-on-4 skates. Then, 30 minutes later you're laughing in the shower and being like, 'Let's go to The Bun for lunch.' "Being a Sioux, you're naturally going to get better every single day, because everyone has the same common goals. It's to win. In order to win, you need to be at your best. That's just an accountability thing here, where there are no bad days. You've got to make sure you bring it every single day. That's an amazing part of the player aspect, where you can progress your game to pro. Quote Stecher walked around campus last week to see all of the changes while he spent a few days working out in Ralph Engelstad Arena. "It's just amazing to see how well they treat the guys here. You kind of go back to that feeling as soon as you step back on campus. It's a very special place. I'm happy to be here." But his message to the current team is to take it all in while they're at UND. "The craziest part," Stecher said, "is I'd give it all up to re-live that lifestyle." 3 Quote
