  1. If you have a crappy product the solution isn't to market it more, that's silly. The solution is to get a better product and everything else will gravitate towards that. We have a good product now heading into 2016 but a little unknown to the average Joe. It takes time and we still need the effort and ideas, but it gets easier with a good product.
  2. Thankfully, we've come a long ways since those days!!!
  3. Ya, who's going to go the extra mile to produce a show on a sinking ship? We had 15 fans left at home vrs. Sac. State that year. I had to leave myself and was embarrassed I brought guests to the game. Don't we have a good mass. com. program........it's just a bunch of football clips and a voice over. Simple stuff.
  4. With the product on the field that year I understand why they didn't continue the series - It'd be nice to have for a legitimate run at the play-offs in 2016.
  5. Inside the locker room the message needs to be who gives a crap about the pre-season 15 ranking while the University, Alerus, and media needs to pound the message of holy crap, we are 15 in the pre-season rankings, come out and see!!!
  6. I don't disagree what you are saying. My view on the Spring game last year was it was simple, all access for fans, blue collar, the guys played hard, just like the style of football Bubba likes to play. You could walk on the track, stand 2 feet from the players, be right on the side line, or sit in the stands. After the game it was fans and players mingling, lots of photos, some fans throwing balls around on the field, really laid back. So maybe more of a philosophical difference on the Spring game from what the coaches are looking for compared to fans. I didn't have a problem with it and not sure I'd take the time to stream a Spring game.........although the trend in college football is to make a big deal of it.

Pretty positive on both Taj and Arnell right now -

    2016 Season

about the OL, Stockwell, Cox, Bell, Miller, all Juniors with playing time, that should help having 4 upper classmen in 2 deep. My guess is 3 of them start........but a lot of spots wide open.
  10. The Montana State half of the trophy could be Prokup crying at the podium. And you could take it 2 ways 1) crying after a loss to UND 2) saying farewell to his teammates. (we need to start a fray, right)
  11. Cool idea to make it out of chocolate......

    2016 Season

Knapf, need the O-line to not have a drop off in 2016. Stepps, most talent we've had in the secondary, have to do better against spread and passing attacks. Need to find a nickel/dime package where we can trust more secondary guys on the field.
  13. The guys close to the Griz program were told they were resting a bunch of players when we took them to the wire in the Alerus. Griz don't respect our program.....

    2016 Season

If you guys remember it became a running joke that the Stony Brook defense was comparable to the '85 Bears, or even better. It was good, but our offensive execution and play calling was abysmal, too. We ran 26 'dive' plays in a row I recall. SB could play us tough but I expect to win this game.

    2016 Season

I forget....did Stony Brook have a good defense last game we played them? How about this year?
  16. "F'N Hawks Football, We keep our stealing limited to overlooked recruits........."
  17. Yes, and when a player isn't playing up to his potential, 'He needs to see the Wizard' (to find a heart) -e. schmidt
  18. Schmitty and Schleusner are buddies......Schmitty was joking about Luke's broken tackle on the 4th and 6 to win the National Championship. (as southpaw mentioned) I'm sure they are talking about Cloyd as Scheusner is the TE coach for the Jacks, and he might be head of recruiting.
  19. I have been biting my tongue on this, but the NebraskaJack-offs that tried making a decision for Cloyd should be ashamed of themselves. Cloyd announced his commitment to UND and he never announced anything different. Look at the source of the other information that came out and their ties. I am really excited about this kid, looks like a stud!!
  20. When I 1st heard safety I rewatched his hudl. It makes sense to me at 6'2", 202 lbs., 4.49 forty, 37" vert., pretty good bench and squat, this kid could be in the 2 deep at safety this year. Most of his highlights are at WR and RB in the wildcat.
  21. I am not hating. There is some emotion involved in having Studsrud go down last year and then take a skid that derailed our season from the play-offs. Our QB position is a sensitive topic......... I have taken plenty of fire in the past, I should know. This season with Keaton starting as a Jr. Heidlebaugh as a RFr., and experience with Bartles if needed we're in a better position this year and that gives us the luxury of redshirting Bolinski. Opinions differ, but I think most are on board and willing to see what the kid has running the scout team this year. Good Luck to the kid!!
  22. Show and recruiting class - If the 2016 class holds together it has way more potential than previous classes. From last year's class Hanson the LB and the OL guy, both from Canada, both studs, flaked before signing day. Then Merz was lost and the Grady Train derailed. And the RB from UAB was a bust. Still got a lot of production and potential going forward from last years class, but some heavy disappointments early.
  23. I am not writing him off at QB before he steps on campus, though.
  24. I heard we turned our chair 1st for Wentz, but he decided to go with Blake.
  25. In the NFL, for the most part talent is even. Carson just had 2-5 years in which his O-line and D-line dominated games, most every game. An undeniable factor exists of what SU provided Carson vrs the NFL, which has a lack of one team dominating week in-and-out. All QBs in the NFL have games where they'll get knocked around or where their defense doesn't dominate the field position game. I am really indifferent as to his future success, but I am interested to see how it turns out. Good luck to the young man.
