  1. There is some internal debate between gray and silver with the helmet. We had silver helmets at some point in the 60's - 70's to ball park it. No final word yet as far as I know.......
  2. Sorry, I was speaking in general terms. Last year we saw a kid make 3 verbal commitments in 5 weeks.......just a little strange to me. Being you are a UND grad, don't be a stranger. Thanks for posting.
  3. Yes, to your point, it's an adult decision to make. We differ a little but in no way do I mean any disrespect. On a 1-10 scale, If 1 was kid's gloves and 10 was treat these young men as adults, put me at a 7 or so. Family and friends are instrumental in this process, how much input to provide yet letting the recruit make his own decision. Good luck!!
  4. I have a belief that the young men we want and need are intelligent enough and have enough awareness to see through that. If an athlete can't navigate through the good and the bad in recruiting, that's a potential character flaw in my book.

Good points. We have a former RB in the 90's that lives out there, is an attorney. "Zulu" was a name he went by. I am going to try and get him on the forum.

Been researching, 1 to 2 hour drive depending on traffic, from Air Ports to Stony Brook, bring some quarters for the tolls.

Looks like a decent flight from Fargo to Toledo, drive to Bowling Green. Stony Brook......looks like a rougher adventure. If anyone has insight, please share.
  8. Kudos for the original idea!! Let's get you on the committee.
  9. What if you had an undefeated team from each side, how sweet would that be?? I didn't say it would be perfect each year, but at least it determines a champion by playing a game called the "Big Sky Championship Game!!" It's really not that different from the power 5 FBS conference championship games except everyone plays in the conference, not just the top 2. If this isn't considered.....why the hell not!!
  10. I know 14 teams is a joke of a conference when the conference champions are nothing more than 'paper champions'. Split them 7 and 7. Your 6 games count towards your seed in your respective half. Last week of the season 1 plays 1 for the title. 2 plays 2, and so on. I didn't need a 1,500 page report to come up with that. That guarantees 7 conference games and fill the rest of schedule with 3 - 4 'non conference', which could be Big Sky teams.

Someone just yesterday at the Park River golf event spoke about that game. He said if we had Cole that game, we win. I assume the same about Arnell, but his leg had screws and plates in it at that time.......

We aren't in the picture for him. End of conversation.
  14. Looks like a stud, but I don't see this one as a possibility........looking closer to GF.

So besides the UND game with NAU it basically has the schedule for Montana, NDSU, UNI, and E. Washington. Got it!!
  16. Not likely to come across a Santiago very often....... Our roster is coming together with some depth, just a guess but I think 2-3 could contribute, red shirts pulled this fall. Safety, Corner, OL, WR areas to watch. We added an ILB and Corner before spring ball, both look very solid. Neverrman rejoined at RB, too, after last season.

We are expecting big things from our 3 Canadians. Bennet and Carter along with Oliveira. We had NLI's from an OT and ILB, too, Canadians, both studs, but both never followed through with their NLI's. I think that's the risk with Canadians, they can stay in Canada and the NCAA can't touch them for breaking their NLI's. We also have a Swede and a Dutchman, both will play this year. Our current staff brought all these guys in, and reach out further across the U.S., too than previous staff.

I hope Ohio St. can beat them up a little, maybe cause 2 loses with 1 game scenario.

Depends on how much you alligator arm it with your base measurement........I recall my shoulder's tightening a little when initially reaching up.......right?
  20. WEAKNESSES Much shorter and stockier than the typical NFL inside linebacker. Will carry some excess weight on his frame. Can be overwhelmed by taller offensive linemen and lose track of the ball. Lack of overall length (included arm length) will slightly limit his range as a tackler in space. Short strides could provide challenge when matched up on vertical tight ends. This part of Will's analysis is a total hack job, underlined. Weight- because Will carries more weight than most it must be excess?? How does a guy rep 36 bench reps and set power clean records, with muscle, which is good weight. Sorry, but dumbass comment #1. Can anyone remember Will being overwhelmed because of a tall offensive lineman? In fact, according to Meehan and Anderson, both 6' 5"ish, they both said Will is almost impossible to square up and block because he dips a shoulder and does it with so much power, 'nearly impossible to block' they said. I don't recall SU overwhelming Will, and they were the best line we faced with a round 5 draft pick. Players with 100 + tackles don't lose track of the ball.......... DA comment #2. A 40 yard dash has around 16 - 20 strides. In a sport where changing directions is imperative wouldn't it be better to have your feet on the ground more often? Your speed is your speed, and Will is fast, top 5 compared to the combine linebackers. DA comment #3. This analysis is someone's feeble attempt to marginalize an FCS player based on height. Will's weakness at LB is the height difference with a 'Gronk' type player on a vertical route. It appears some Falcon fans see what we have been seeing the last 2 years. Good luck Will!!

Disterhaupt also top 3 verticle and top 5 Pro test, impressive!! Neither Clive nor Reed ran a 40. Clive would be top 3, and possibly 1st but his start isn't great. But running a post or crossing route doesn't really require a top start. I am guessing Clive would have the fastest 60 yard. Reed is likely top 10 40. Clive and Reed would knock 2 LBs out of top 10, seems to make sense.

Assuming Clive didn't run- 4 LBs on the list.......is that overly impressive or are the wideouts and corners unimpressive?
  23. I have seen some of the ILB's taken thus far. Other than height, Ratelle compares well to these guys. I would rather have speed, power, weight, explosion........but that's just me.
  24. The D-bags on ESPN said Schobert almost went to NDSU.......that isn't what I recall!!
