  1. Mays I saw listed at 5' 11", 240 lbs., 6th round pick, 90 tackles his senior year at SU Ratelle vrs Mays isn't that close. Ratelle is bigger, faster, stronger, more explosive, and was more productive his senior year. We'll see what the NFL thinks soon........
  2. Pats don't care what everyone else thinks. They care about what they think. I admire that!!

That's affirmative. I think all the ND Universities have some core curriculum that all schools accept as transferable credits. (My aunt in the mid 90's was actually assigned to make this happen)
  4. I'd like the Cogswell Cannon, but it's probably too much of a time commitment for him. He's younger than the norm, actually knows football from playing QB at UND, great on-air personality and perspective when doing games with Big Eddie and Hammer in the past.

Speed, agility, quickness Hendrickson leaves Kelby in the dust. Kelby had more playing time to grow into a leader with his class, though.

I love the running threat from the QB position.....but I like Studsy to be healthy, too. 2 things come to mind, 1) only use his running as needed meaning if the run game is clicking with the RBs, stick to that 2) Split Studsy out and have a Wildcat package with Santiago taking a direct snap
  8. Palmborg - Saw him at Scheels picking out a new jock strap. Santiago caused him to leave his on the field on that swing pass. I wonder if Reyes makes that play or maybe Santiago is too quick for anyone to make that play.
  9. Good to make the call now and do a little prep work before Saturday -
  10. I don't recall much of anything for seating, but plenty of standing room for Spring game.
  11. The real test is keeping an eye on the guys that haven't shown up for class 2nd semester, that confirms a guy you listed as gone, although I didn't hear Berry say his name today.
  12. Wyoming had an auto win on their schedule, not sure how that worked out for them.... Real early prediction, we establish a run game and give BG all they can handle, close game either way.
  13. A lot of 'culture' talk from Barry today at Fargo Luncheon......the same message and mission of the football team and staff. Tidbits from spring ball. Hunt is legit. 4 horseman at RB are all starting caliber. Sounds good about Grady returning. Reed is turning heads. Even without Grady, O-line coming together. Seibel has a shot at returning mid-season, seems to be a long-shot to me.
  14. The hockey programs success should be a tasty little morsel on the side, but probably should have little to do with ones decision to play football at UND. I think UND football history and support is a 'tad' better than so-so. We transitioned, fell flat with a coach, and are correcting it. I think a so-so program would have been satisfied to remain so-so.
  15. Good point, football totally recruits to hockey weekends........
  16. As far as the football program, how insecure would you/me/UND Football have to be to think the success of another program at the same school negatively affects football? From Bubba's comments, he nailed it! Use and build off the success of a National Title at your school, emulate it, strive for it. Football success on the field and in the community will carry it's weight, along with the new facilities.
  17. Me neither. He said the winner of UND/DU would probably win the Natty. He said UND 5 on 5 was too much for Quinny. He said UND had the best fans, program, facilities, team, line, goalie. Short of putting an Indian head UND logo jersey on what else do some people want to hear? It's commen courtesy to pump up the team that's getting smoked.
  18. Quinny was chirping and getting chippy. With 5 minutes left I thought a UND player would take it upon themselves to lay one of the chirpers out, I was praying for it!! Well, it didn't happen which shows the players thought manhandling their opponent in the Natty was punishment enough.
  19. For the hockey only folks, take the top 10 athletes from hockey and the top 10 from FCS football and do the testing on who are better athletes..........and it wouldn't be close.
  20. Hockey announcers said the Natty will be a skill advantage (UND) vrs. a speed advantage (Quinny) I had flashbacks of UND FB vs. Drake the way the wheels fell off for about half the game. To me UND held back intentionally and excessively, is that seriously a strategy for 30 minutes of hockey? I understand if a team shells up with a defensive strategy in the last 5 minutes, but for half the game in the frozen 4.....?? CONGRATS on the WIN!!

Heard this, too, Reed is turning into the Real Deal Holyfield.

What the HPC helps with is ball skills on deep balls, those 50/50 type throws. As much as the receivers our b-backs will benefit greatly from this.

Odds are a RB will go down with an injury during the year, 4 deep isn't the worst problem to have. Santiago might be the most versatile to bump out to the slot on occasion to get others some touches. Also, some 2 back sets, meaning 2 HBs as Nevermann, Oliviera, and Gordon have some 'beef' for blocking, yet pose a greater running threat than our FBs. (random thoughts) Is it safe to say Norberg is #1 FB?

Mostly referring to Grady shuffling things up but possibly a little about the Eagan kid coming in, too.
