  1. I will say yes, but we do a good job of not telling. (Wanzak was very hush hush last year)
  2. That makes more sense now -
  3. And now Ty Brooks is a potential NFL pick, too? Jesus, no limit to the talent at SU I guess.
  4. JJ = Morlock x [(2x)Talent] + speed
  5. Can Nevermann medical and move to FB??
  6. UND needed a 2nd half drive like this last weekend- somehow we lost our way........
  7. 42-0 Sam Houston quits in a playoff game, again!!
  8. Maybe triple punt safe with a 10 yard bubble around the punter...... I know, it was a very frustrating play.
  9. You still send 3-4 guys to pressure the punter. I've never heard of pressuring at 3/4 speed. What if the punter drops the ball and we have 4 guys giving 75% effort and the punter picks the ball up and punts it away?? That's why they still give 100%, in case of a bad snap we have guys there. But, this is what they are told, "make sure you are 100% certain you are going to block the punt before you run the risk of touching the punter" The player made a mistake.
  10. Definitely not - I would offer this advice. Rudy - Trust your eyes, would of liked to see us stick with The Manitoba Moose and Norberg up the gut. I would of ran the same runs up the middle until Richmond stopped it. I felt we were demoralizing them. Schmitty - sometimes you have to accept the offense has a guy we can't cover 1 on 1. We could of flipped corners to try Harris on their stud. Or, the corner coverage could have played up man-to-man on the inside bump and run (dog technique) with safety over top. (like on a 3rd down when Richmond targeted him) Point is, play to their stud in critical situations. Very nit picky critiques and very arm-chair so.......for what it's worth. (not much while I sit at my desk)
  11. App State, Hot Hot Hot. So lame, almost unbelievable-
  12. Hilarious!!
  13. Surging.....I wouldn't go that far-
  14. Correct, our corners do not suck. Richmond max protected and had a receiver that pretty much no one in FCS could cover on a wide open field. If we were 2 or 3 deep those big plays don't happen but that gets into a whole different discussion about who we are as a defense.
  15. Agree - After giving it some time, the sting will be long lasting because of the 7 seed, 3 weeks off, big lead, and the plethora of mistakes. In my view the 2016 season will always be a disappointment. (I have really high expectations) If we would have beaten Richmond and battled EWU to the end and lost that'd be far more palatable. That said, it's better for our program to show we can play with and beat down a team like Richmond (in spite of the loss) instead of strait out getting our tit's lit.(which of course didn't happen)
  16. Did anyone notice the kick-off coverage was good last year, it helped having Will Ratelle running down as he basically filled 2 lanes. And Saturday.....kick-off coverage was good as I noticed Reyes making a tackle. Some special teams are as good as the guys running down the field and that is improving with depth on the roster. I don't know if anyone has ran down at the college level on kick-off coverage but it's not rocket science. The point is the better athletes make the plays, maybe it's on the coaches to get the right guys out there without jeopardizing key players on defense, it's a balancing act. Our kicking and punting positions should be wide open next year with some competition as I wasn't impressed with either one on a consistent basis. (I am not saying our current guys can't improve, so maybe the same guys with better performance)
  17. Overall their punter was so crappy I'd rather just put 3 guys back to fair catch a 25 yard punt than risk the ball hitting the ground and rolling. Why do we need a block when the net punt is so minimal anyway, bad risk/reward model.
  18. Severe depression until my wife said, 'quit being a pussy'. Reminds me of the Michigan vrs. Ohio St. game some. Gotta move forward, keep building and fighting. This is a hard time for the Seniors as their whole lives have revolved around athletics on the field and now that's gone. Be sure to reach out to these guys if you can.
  19. That's right, break the chain, no goodwill or support from Alumni to current students to help support the team, that's how to build a program and support. Such a moronic statement.
  20. Just did 60.(tickets) We got this!!
  21. "My oh My" you guys are starting to nit pick........
  22. Not rationalizing, just know personally 15 folks that will be in NY that made most football games this year. And those 15 folks have family and friends that went to football games because of those folks. So just a 1st hand account. I totally agree with the rest of your post.
  23. I am guessing the New York hockey game is affecting the football game by over 1,000 butts in seats. Just tragic timing......many will be watching from New York.
  24. I had a pretty good seat for that game-
