  1. I wonder if the Duke's will send a love letter to the AD about how gracious the SU fan base is after their loss....... That's the true test of a fan base and we all know the truth of the matter. But hats off to SU, a lot of kids in Africa will have clothes this Christmas that read 'Bison 6-peat'.
  2. JMU missed a FG after the Phantom hold, no points. Also, JMU had their starting center go down and it's hard to re-live the horrors of the Duke's RT.
  3. Watching replay- mostly want to see the crowd shots and vaunted jet sweeps in the 4th quarter. Anyway, the hold call on the 1st TD was a joke. SU corner was blocked and RB was blowing by him so he threw his arms up in the air, 'and waived them like he just didn't care'. Football needs a flopping rule for wimps like that. Stick fumbled- nice review refs.
  4. What I saw- Take out the false starts (home field) and if JMU had their starting RT this game would not have been close.
  5. I did, at the Force game. Caught the highlight on my phone and crapped my pants.
  6. Watch Morlock on the wheel route JMU......if I see that uncovered one more time I am going to crap in my pants!!
  7. UND Hockey doesn't play tonight, big relief for SU football fans........
  8. I can count 6 WRs on the roster and the best they will be in their careers is 'average' at the FCS level, perennial top 10 team. Why would we add #7? I say give him a few years at QB and see what happens. (being average at a top FCS school is really good, but if we are going to compete for natty's need some pretty special players)
  9. I will say yes, but we do a good job of not telling. (Wanzak was very hush hush last year)
  10. That makes more sense now -
  11. And now Ty Brooks is a potential NFL pick, too? Jesus, no limit to the talent at SU I guess.
  12. JJ = Morlock x [(2x)Talent] + speed
  13. Can Nevermann medical and move to FB??
  14. UND needed a 2nd half drive like this last weekend- somehow we lost our way........
  15. 42-0 Sam Houston quits in a playoff game, again!!
  16. Maybe triple punt safe with a 10 yard bubble around the punter...... I know, it was a very frustrating play.
  17. You still send 3-4 guys to pressure the punter. I've never heard of pressuring at 3/4 speed. What if the punter drops the ball and we have 4 guys giving 75% effort and the punter picks the ball up and punts it away?? That's why they still give 100%, in case of a bad snap we have guys there. But, this is what they are told, "make sure you are 100% certain you are going to block the punt before you run the risk of touching the punter" The player made a mistake.
  18. Definitely not - I would offer this advice. Rudy - Trust your eyes, would of liked to see us stick with The Manitoba Moose and Norberg up the gut. I would of ran the same runs up the middle until Richmond stopped it. I felt we were demoralizing them. Schmitty - sometimes you have to accept the offense has a guy we can't cover 1 on 1. We could of flipped corners to try Harris on their stud. Or, the corner coverage could have played up man-to-man on the inside bump and run (dog technique) with safety over top. (like on a 3rd down when Richmond targeted him) Point is, play to their stud in critical situations. Very nit picky critiques and very arm-chair so.......for what it's worth. (not much while I sit at my desk)
  19. App State, Hot Hot Hot. So lame, almost unbelievable-
  20. Hilarious!!
  21. Surging.....I wouldn't go that far-
  22. Correct, our corners do not suck. Richmond max protected and had a receiver that pretty much no one in FCS could cover on a wide open field. If we were 2 or 3 deep those big plays don't happen but that gets into a whole different discussion about who we are as a defense.
  23. Agree - After giving it some time, the sting will be long lasting because of the 7 seed, 3 weeks off, big lead, and the plethora of mistakes. In my view the 2016 season will always be a disappointment. (I have really high expectations) If we would have beaten Richmond and battled EWU to the end and lost that'd be far more palatable. That said, it's better for our program to show we can play with and beat down a team like Richmond (in spite of the loss) instead of strait out getting our tit's lit.(which of course didn't happen)
  24. Did anyone notice the kick-off coverage was good last year, it helped having Will Ratelle running down as he basically filled 2 lanes. And Saturday.....kick-off coverage was good as I noticed Reyes making a tackle. Some special teams are as good as the guys running down the field and that is improving with depth on the roster. I don't know if anyone has ran down at the college level on kick-off coverage but it's not rocket science. The point is the better athletes make the plays, maybe it's on the coaches to get the right guys out there without jeopardizing key players on defense, it's a balancing act. Our kicking and punting positions should be wide open next year with some competition as I wasn't impressed with either one on a consistent basis. (I am not saying our current guys can't improve, so maybe the same guys with better performance)
