Beats the hell out of the last "OFFICIAL" grocery store of UND Athletics that was....wait for it....HORNBACHERS that lasted a year and a half in GF and then BAILED - but - Learfield signed them to a multi-year deal so they had the embarrassing situation of being the "official grocer" of UND while NOT having a store here while Hugo's has been a long-time TOP RATE supporter of UND. Horbachers showed their loyalty to Fargo - Hugo's has ALWAYS been about Grand Forks. VERY GLAD those douchebags from Learfield are OUT of the picture. and also ABOUT DAMN TIME Hugo's is the "official grocer" and yeah GO TO THE 506 and thank Hugo's for all their support for UND over the years. The downtown store is a great new asset and Hugo's has been a rock solid sponsor of UND athletics from the start.

Sounds like that's what President Armacost is doing and will do - he'll do the right thing although it's a couple decades late and not his fault. Repatriation is the right thing to do and worrying about how this might affect the old nickname coming back is a trivial and frankly pathetic waste of time.

There's NO WAY Hornbachers* is paying you $38,500 a year nd1sufan!!! NO WAY! * - BREAKING NEWS - those bail-out douchebags are NO LONGER the "Official Grocer" of UND Athletics - it's back to being Hugo's where it belongs. Thankfully Learfield Sports is DEAD at UND! They brought nothing to the table...but they did teach the Ralph people to double or triple their prices and have pissed off a LOT of long time clients - so they still live on somehow! -
The BOWTIE kills it for me - like Tucker Carlson had to have a night job to make it in local radio. SAD

whatever that is....

Never worked for Ingstad but 20+ years in local GF media - also last 10 VERY CLOSE with UND productions. What are your local media credentials and expertise beyond pretending to be an internet board "expert" about everything?? QUOTING: PPS - Bass (pronounced: base) is a male voice. Yeah HELLO! That's an industry joke that further tells me you don't know anything about how all this works. Thanks for explaining how a BASS (PRONOUCED BASE-lol) is a male voice - pretty FISHY!:-) Stick to your lane and your day job.

WOW! you are an EXPERT of all things! AMAZING! What a gift for this website someone SO wise in ALL aspects of the broadcast world! I have some too. Paul is a good guy - true to UND through and through. Not a perfect "broadcast voice" He worked his way up to his position and does just fine. BTW - a bass is a fish - not a voice. Magical "Jack Michaels" has to have an embarrassing stack of candy and snacks in front of him to get through a broadcast (no kidding - it's weird - I've seen it in person in the Al Pressbox) plus let's face facts. He's a Fargo guy who only does UND sports because he gets paid to do it. Great voice but he'd abandon UND in a heartbeat and never look back. Also a nice guy but...I'm going to use a bad word here - a HO! Happy to just get paid! Finally - hate to say it but Hennessy is still solid but getting a little scratchy and dull...time to think of an heir-apparent? Would be great if he could help find someone to hand the torch too. Sid H. hung around WWAYYY too long in MN - let's not do that please.

AND midco used to be known as MIDCONTINENT!?! wtf? AND Josh Fenton's initials are 2/3rds of JF...k? K is close to Q - hmmm??? I'm going to do some "research" on the internet and see what I can come up with on that. I'm sure it's just a coincedence

There's this new thing called the internet - the previous poster has the link. Check it out!

Bisonville is a NICHE chat forum:-) go away troll! -
Yes really Steers 2.0. The original Steers is now closed (but with an intriguing new restaurant sign already in place) - Stay tuned...
-
The former Steers location now has a sign up advertising "Mt. Everest Himalayan" - a web search indicates it's more Indian food coming to GF - BRING IT ON! House of Punjab is AMAZING also if you haven't tried it.
-
Where did all the foodies go? Chino Latino is finally OPEN in the old Scottys Deli location (drive through only for now) but it's totally worth a try. Best of Steers and the Steers Food Truck food plus some new items in a much better located, MUCH BETTER named and branded restaurant. Little awkward with the low drive-up menu - a passenger might have to get out of the car but the staff is patient and happy to answer questions. Takes a little time but we got a couple extras ordering while bantering with the staff - they're great! Unique and tasty food - don't know what to get try the Korean BBQ Chicken and a couple Samosas to start. Lots of international options so plenty to explore in future visits. FINALLY - Well done Elias Dean! Look up their Facebook for his story about arriving in the US with $200 in his pocket and paying that up front for just rent. He went to work at McDonald's for his first job and now he owns a restaurant right beside the place where he got his start. An inspiring story of the American dream for a hardworking entrepreneur.

$2 million a year from FORUM Communications??? BUWAHHAHAHAHAHHHA!!! Don't do drugs man - they are bad for you Entz/Tailpipe smokers!
-
That's the problem with UND Marketing jobs - they don't pay sh*t! If you could get someone to take the job they won't kep it because they can make more money....ANYWHERE! Been a problem for a long time...they need to address it. Get someone GOOD in that job and pay them - it would go a long way.
-
WOW have not heard one thing about this but it looks....interesting. They're promising a LOT for the first year. I would have thought a ND Renaissance Faire would be elections where democrats would actually have a chance to win but that's just me:-) KIDDING - I joke I joke lol
-
The SkyVu rules! These are almost extinct but if you have kids take them to a drive-inn movie - it's worth the memories. They will always remember it.

I concur! The out of state corporate a-holes that own it use the Columbia Mall property as a tax write off. They don't give a sh*t about it but it's a "tax-plus" in their portfolio so no reason to do anything about it. That's why they can tell the young Snow Cone kids who were the kind of inventive entrepreneurs that mall NEEDS to essentially "GET OFF THEIR LAWN!" They know they're a-holes but they don't care. They only care about the bottom line and they're not from here - that's a problem. The only reason West Acres is still a thing in Fargo is it's locally owned and the owners are pivoting constantly to keep stores and spaces relevant. We went through THE METRO last weekend and the WA parking lot was FULL of cars. If you can find more than 10 cars in one space at Columbia Mall it's only in the Scheels Parking lot and that's only because Scheels is the last viable big anchor in the mall. It's only a matter of time for JC Penney on a corporate level and then Columbia mall is really f*cked.

Better the Alerus Center does better for the city - the Ralph is doing fine on their own with their selected events. I see the Al has put out a pre-emptive "Here's what you need to know before the Alan Jackson Concert" with suggestions and plans how to attend a huge concert in GF with options and new ideas to hopefully AVOID all the constant bitching and whining - plan ahead? What an idea! Take heart Alerus Concertgoers - the solution is at hand! PS - It's still going to take half an hour to more than an hour to get out of the parking lot - DEAL WITH IT! Hide a couple beers in a cooler in the car and take your time leaving. There's no rush. You know BY NOW it's going to take some time so factor that in. The best concert experience is all about planning:-) Enjoy the show!

Two separate locations - the one by the Frat was a basement store - ONLY convenience store on campus at the time. The one on Stanford was a block off Gateway behind the building that used to be a laundromat and carwash and across from the old Frenchys. The building is still there but its some weird office or something now.

A block off Gateway - behind the building that used to be a carwash and laundry and is now a Somali restaurant. Across from where Frenchy's used to be.

I've been saying this all along. I hate to tell you this but the HOME of the FIGHTING SIOUX University/Aerospace division also....ssshhhh....actually TRAINS Chinese students to FLY and has for 35 years. Chinese students that could learn to fly then pilot privately made CIRRUS/CHINA-owned aircraft to fly over FuFeng to pick up some milled corn products infused with DRONES from the UND E-Sports Program (also affiliated with China by proxy) and sprinkle corn flake flavored spy-e-ness over all of our country? Shouldn't UND be the target for TRAINING the commies? Those bastards!
-
so....what generation are you from Mr. Magic? and how did YOU prevent this country from running into the ground? I got a participation ribbon from an elementary school playday in 1978 and wiped my ass with it. I also watched a recent ASSHOLE president we had whine and lie about being cheated out on election 2 years ago he's still CRYING about now. !@#$ HIM! He couldn't prove !@#$ and still can't. He's just a little orange-tufted pussy who hopefully the DOJ is tracking. VERY SAD!

Came into the VD on Stanford where I worked graveyards after 1am - liked pizza rolls, Geno's !@#!$ frozen pizza and dry humor. I could make him laugh but it was like a corpse coughing. You could tell he wasn't long for this world (early '90's) PS - Pat Sweeney also frequented the Stanford VD - bought a lot of Eskimo Pies to my recollection. Nice guy but also odd like Karl.
