I like these 2 words. For me, the USD game…row 12 …. 50 yard line… no high 5s or slaps on the back….not negative juju…just apathy…everyone! Hard to point to one person about this, IMHO

Well it looks like NDSU lost safety Mason Ellis (who had verbally committed in October). He is from KS and stated yesterday he will play for KS U not NDSU.

As much as I hope he turns his life around and can follow the rules and contribute….. my mother always said, “You made your bed, now lie in it.”

Not sure if this fits here… this name image likeness could be another reason someone transfers. Big article in the morning paper. A Gopher BB player is quoted “One day the basketball will quit bouncing and I’ve got some money in my bank account.” Gopher players signed 150 NIL contracts between 7/1 and 11/8 with football the most @ 47. And now “companies” are signing up students for $1000 saying they will find ways to promote them And they say the students are learning life and business skills. The U has a consultant to teach students about contracts etc. Too many changes for me…..

That is so true. Our son turned down some offers snd the evening before signing day he had 3 forms he could have signed. Actually, UND offered him the least amount of money. I asked his decision…. he said SDSU. Dad says I should go there for the full ride. I said turn those pieces of paper over and go to the school that will give you the best education for what you want to for the rest of your life. He looked at me and said then it is UND mom. so maybe yes some restrictions on how often or at what level but these kids may have realized they did not make the best choice…. Of course there are many other reasons…. Even Clemson (?) I think had 2 go in the transfer portal yesterday.

I believe if you have a football related injury the scholarship continues… if not then your scholarship is suspended!

I really liked to watch Otis play…. This was probably a golden opportunity got him. Rules are rules and for everyone….fine line between supporting snd enabling someone. I hope he stays and gets his head on straight. Whatever happened, I wish him the best!!!

Morning paper reported two Gopher QBs in the transfer portal in 2 days… Annexstad ( 2 years of eligibility) and Clark (redshirt sophomore). The starting g QB decided to stay for a 6th year and these two said adios! actually…based on other colleges that transfer portal might be getting crowded! Lots of coaching changes too.

This is difficult because society has changed so much… even in the last few years. ”I want what I want and I want it now.” Seriously, when dealing with people renting costumes I want to ask,”Have you considered Amazon Prime?” I want to keep our education standards, Midwestern values, and the UND family mentality. I want experienced coaches funded appropriately by the school’s budget. I am not saying replace anyone but new hires. if we truly aspire to be in the top 10, I want a top 10 budget. I want the fundraising for these $10,000 to $25,000 projects to continue. I like Bubba’s working with the foundation to get the equipment upgrades, etc. I want to know the AD has the gonadal fortitude to support (and correct) coaches AND to be more visible ( did I just say that?). I want to see the community support that I know is there when I attend a home game. This has to be ramped up 100% IMHO and could start in 2022. That is enough. Basically, it is all about money like always!

Maybe a quality education and a community with sound values? I have said it before, if all 4 of our children had graduated from UND, I would be one happy Mama. Yes we need that Phase 2… could someone just print the money? It seems that is what is happening. There must be some relationship to COVID so we could get some funds.
