Good question…every team has someone like this. It is a role that needs to be filled.

Sometimes groups do “pledges” to help jump start fundraising. Just saying it may help stir the pot.

So, a while ago there was a lot of talk about strength and conditioning….where are we on that? Is that included in spring hall? I was thinking of the USA -Russian hockey game…Miracle. Herb Brooks basically beat the Russians with conditioning. A fast paced game and conditioning. No fan of all these supplements but yes, diet is important. Just wondering where we are and what type of facility do we have for S & C?

The real loser is the next game….IMHO. UND would have been a better opponent….??Duluth tomorrow.

Well…hockey is my first love and the MN state tourney had a LOT of talent…. Goaltending was awesome. Lou Nanne has been announcing 58 years. In the 3rd period of the Maple Grove Andover championship game he said it was the game of the decade, maybe longer, in the state tournament…. I believe there were 4 Mr. Hockey finalists between the 2 teams. They were all great players.

Well said Siouxfan512…. sounds like Bubba has not had financial or administrative support, IMHO. Just saw another college was promoting their GAs doing video taping. Should not be on Bubba’s plate, again IMHO

Has admin and the AD given Bubba the “infrastructure” he needs? Scholarships, facilities, salary, and help with discipline? Not having someone video answers that…. Yes, there are coaching issues but it is not just coaching, IMHO.

To clarify, I wasn’t outraged about salary… surprised yes. Believe me, as an agency nurse on double time I have said I don’t think I would pay me what they are paying me. Several of our children are doing very well….I am amazed what they are making. I asked a friend…Do you have a hard time accepting that a child of yours is worth that much money? I am reading Dabo’s World about Dabo Swinney…great book… but again, the salaries amaze me. Godliness and contentment is great gain, we bought nothing into this world and will take nothing out!

So…to celebrate OR cry in your beer. Either way…. Good to go. I think I had a beer once when my husband was driving but I really did not know there was hard liquor!

Down here standard operating procedure is to appoint a committee, meet for 6 months and the recommendation is ALWAYS the same: hire a consultant and come back with a plan in 2 years. Go figure! Sure could look good on someone’s resume…just saying….

Bad karma and someone should have helped Bubba…. did they AD weigh in on discipline issues and back/guide Bubba? There were some pretty big issues, from what we now hear…. get ‘ER figured out during spring ball… getting video staff is a pretty glaring problem…

Well…. Now the NCAA has called for a review of how NIL compensation policies are impacting recruiting, transfers, academics, and athlete’s mental health. Plus they asked the US Congress for help with a federal NIL law. You can’t make this stuff up, seriously!

Morning paper says the U of M is facing a $39M deficit this year….are we getting close to 1929? The U’s athletic department is $8M in the red…all activities are doing better this year but they are still in the red. It seems they have used up all their federal relief too…$27M. But MN’s tax revenues were 25% higher in January. People are stupid….

This is NOT good…. Is UND in the red, significantly, due to some bonds for the student Union? And does this non-profit (a combination of several actually)get a pretty significant profit from most of the sporting events? WOW Fundraising takes on a new lens….

Yes and to hear he was dealing with players who were more interested in smoking joints and partying puts a few more things in perspective…experienced coaches have problems dealing with that plus no AD? A recipe for disaster. I am chair of a committee that had one member bring a black, covered coffee cup to every meeting. It had alcohol. Everyone on the committee and visitors recognized it. I finally just told him no more black covered coffee cup. I heard later his employer told him the same thing. These are difficult situations…. Say too much and you will get sued for harassment. I once asked a nurse to please answer a patient’s light. She complained I harassed her…. I quit supervising that day. It is a different world out there now.
