I saw a bunch of people in Fargo after the game buying Panthers apparel.

I do believe these "safe treat" locations are a big part of it. These locations are supposed to be verified safe, and many keeps them out of the cold weather while also having plenty of candy given in one location. I believe even the Canad had a trick or treat event. The media has also made it worse, making it seem like there is a ton of danger going out, and that candy has been laced, or opened.

I heard Standing Rock majority, but the chairman has the final say and has yet to approve or deny, he just been mute. Once the approval is given from him their will be major news if NCAA doesn't follow their agreement which was the 2 tribes.
-
The way his post came off was very childish, especially with that lol at the end. For not being a rivalry they sure do troll harder then Gopher diehards.
-
When they play each other those fans won't be chearing for both. I'm sure most of them will pull out the UND green.
-
Quite a few, even in the student section. I have yet to see any Gopher apparel at a UND hockey game this year. When NDSU falls off their high horse you will see alot of people that are immediately not as big of fan of NDSU. Example was Boston College in hockey, when they were dominant a few years ago, you rarely heard of Boston U fans besides at the Beanpot game, until the last 2 years when BC was no longer the top overall team

By that argument there is no rivalries in the nation. Because it seems like every town you are in the majority of people will go to the local game. Also when they(USD/SDSU) play each other, their true colors normally come out. The family that went to USD wearing SDSU stuff to every other game will take out the Red for that game.
-
It usually always turns out this way. No matter where. USD and SDSU alumni are always going to the other depending on where they are. Seems like alot of the USD game day crowd is from Yankton, Sioux City, Mitchell, Some Sioux Falls(more to SDSU as it is closer). While SDSU is more Brookings, Huron, Watertown, Sioux Falls. Most are FOOTBALL fans, many just like to see a game at the cheapest possible

So just because someone goes to a game make them that team's fan? Hmm, so that section in Montana apparel at the Mont vs UND game were UND fans? That guy wearing the Marlins jersey at the Giants vs Royals game was a Royals fan? The girl I personally saw wearing a Avalanche jersey to the Wild vs Kings game was a Wild fan? It is ussually about getting the experience and what game is feasible to go to. Right now nothing is to draw the UND allums to Grand Forks on Saturdays to watch football. If the team is doing well they will pay to travel up, if not they will just go watch whoever is local. I have been to games just because they were in the same town, while on vacation and while living there, even though I don't like either team.
-
well its fun for you to come here and make alot of arguments mostly in excuses. if there is no point + Noone at NDSU cares+ Not Fun + No Rivalry, then why are you here?
-
It's not a sellout unless the students buy all their tickets, they have 400 un-bought tickets for this weekend. The student section will be sold out for this game.
-
Was the IW game sold out same day tickets became available?? I bet this game will be.
-
No you are right it is a HUGE GAME for NDSU. If they have nothing to gain against a school 70 miles away then it means even more to them. If they are really on top of the mountain then no home games mean nothingn to them. If it isn't a big game to NDSU then we sure will see alot more UND fans at the game, even though most of the comments I saw on the media reports from NDSU fans and from hearing from NDSU students are that they are going to try their hardest to get tickets.
-
Eh must've died out when SDSU thought they would beat Nebraska.
-
He never said that they were Bison fans. There are alums, and fans of UND in all other sports that just don't see the point as of now to drive from Fargo to Grand Forks on Saturdays like they used to. If they still want to watch the sport they will just occasionally buy a ticket to the in town game, in that case NDSU. It similar to going to a Vikings game and seeing quite a few people wearing jerseys and shirts from other teams not playing. They want to see a game but not worth the travel at that moment. Heck even a Marlins fan was at the Giants-Royals game last night.
-
I still don't know how SDSU is a rival with them. Atleast half my graduating class attends SDSU, and I have seen one post or heard of any chatter from theem about playing NDSU. Just a bunch of trying to trash USD students.
-
What I don't understand is that NDSU says they will whip UND no matter what, but yet they are afraid of the consequence if they lose? If they were so sure they would win they wouldn't have to 1. comment as they would be too good to care. and 2. Wouldn't be afraid of what may happen to recruiting because it will be a whooping. So obviously these two NDSU "fans" care since they are going on non-stop about the game. 2nd: no team is ever going to win the rest of the national championships. NDSU will have their down time and I feel like it will be sooner then later.
-
You know outside of this board I have not heard any NDSU fan not say they want to play UND. Many of the current students that I know say they do. If NDSU wasn't as dominate over the last few years, UND would still want to play NDSU, it only makes sense once both are out of transition they should play. Just know that NDSU trolls have to come on here and try to defend their program and say its not important to them, but never leave the thread is proof that Rivalry against no matter who it is can be a scary situation. It the same situation with Minnesota in Hockey, Minnesota said that UND wasn't important to be on their schedule every year, and went out of their way to make sure to not get them as a OOC every year. Then the Frozen Four matchup happened last year and it was again a huge deal to them.
-
I did as well, but I am also a student season ticket holder I guess.
-
Exactly, Sioux Falls rink is nice for USHL hockey, and it is like 10,500 seats for hockey. Plus i don't know how many ticket students get, but I do know that NoDak Nation sounds to be in control of them, as they say perfect student attendance and Nodak Nation points puts you higher on the llist

Punting into the wind could've had the same result, didn't we have a punt on the road this year that went like 5 yards in the wind?
-
Most buildings on campus do not have A/C. If they do you can see the 1980's A/C hanging out the windows(Ie. Okelly)
-
The U has tried to get the vikings to agree not to pronounce the Name, and not to put the logo or name on the scoreboards/programs but I think the Vikings said no, that they are part of the NFL who makes the decision if a name is allowed to be used or not.

Finanical Aid and I believe most departments in Twamley can not wear FS apparel

I went down to Sioux Falls from GF for the Stampede Home opener on the 11th. The crowd was announced at 10,678. It looked pretty packed, and definately good enough to host a NCAA Regional. A lot of concourse room, seats are very comfortable, quite a bit of bathrooms. I believe last year in the old SF Arena they were #1 in the USHL in average attendance, and definitely will be this year. I can see them trying to use it to grow hockey in Sioux Falls as well, as youth hockey is moving into a new facility as well, from the old barns they played into up till this year. If there were some teams closer to Rapid City, I hear that the Rushmore Civic center is very nice as well, hosting the ECHL Rapid City Rush
