While UND's 3rd quarter collapse at Kansas State didn't age great, compared to KSU expectations and ranking at that time, they have finally started to string together some wins. Most recently blowing out Kansas U 42-17. They currently sit 7th in the Big 12 with overall record of 4-4. Their losses by point differentials are (3, 3, 6, 1).
  2. Supposedly the new turf installed in 2024 is Astroturf "latest technology" in turf. Which is interesting. I have been on it since they changed it, but can't recall it enough to compare to other turf surfaces besides the previous that they had. The Astroturf (AT Puregrass) they had before the renovation was absolutely terrible, felt like a carpet, and any cleats would just slide around on it. The new turf is definitely a upgrade compared to that, but I would still assume UND uses more of the flat turf shoes that are less cleat like.
  3. Also Sam Herder continues to give UND some love ranked 5th in his poll ballot this week. https://herosports.com/fcs-top-25-sam-herder-ballot-10-27-2025-bzbz/ 1. North Dakota State 2. Montana 3. Montana State 4. Tarleton State 5. North Dakota 6. South Dakota State 7. UC Davis 8. Tennessee Tech 9. Lehigh 10. Harvard 11. Monmouth 12. Mercer 13. Youngstown State 14. Villanova 15. Illinois State 16. Southern Illinois 17. Abilene Christian 18. Northern Arizona 19. Austin Peay 20. Rhode Island 21. SFA 22. Southeastern Louisiana University 23. Jackson State 24. Lamar 25. 5. I know some of the SDSU media have been talking about how mediocre SDSU offense has been all season. Often starting slow, and bailed out time and time again by their defense giving the Off time the ability to survive multiple bad drives before finally being able to put some together and pull away late in games.
  6. They replaced the turf before last season. Not sure what UNI has, but it is no longer the carpet style slip and slide. The only turf I had been on that was worse than that was the Bismark Bucks fiasco.
  7. 4 weeks is bare minimum typically for collarbone fracture. Typically physicians don't even want them to do any rehab or upper body strength during those 4 weeks. So typically 6-8 weeks. Now being a college athlete and going through sport specialty orthopedics, they can monitor the healing process much more closely with more appointments to be able to be aggressive, but I'm still thinking 4 weeks is doubtful
  8. USD beats UNI 17-14. UNI went for a FG with 2min left in the 4th and doinked it off the upright. They would get a TD with 41 sec left to pull within 3.
  9. SDSU offense has showed its struggles, their Defense has picked them up. Chase Mason left the game today with lower body (ankle?) and hasn't returned. SDSU hasn't done much. NDSU standout DL Jaxon Duttenhefer was spine boarded on the field, checked by doctors on the sideline while boarded before being transported by ambulance to ER. Believe he showed some movement in all extremities before leaving
  10. im okay with that. Eat clock. Get points like we just. Take away possessions from SIU, make them try to go fast anytime they have the ball. Not eating the clock led to our 2 losses.
  11. stil going with 15-20...
  12. if UND just didn't take the foot off the gas in that game, to allow for some questionable calls/non calls to occur right at the end. 2 losses for a combined 4 points. The thing that still surprising when historically looking at UND and time of possession being able to eat clock to finish out games. Both of those games, and also the 2nd to last UND drive in this first half, had the ball, should've easily been able to finish off the clock if didn't score, and we take off very little clock and give the ball back. Atleast this time we were able to capitalize on the other team trying to get aggressive with short clock.
  13. Also was the WR closest to our sideline and no coach tried telling him to step back?
  14. The problem is now we have to fix those mistakes and give zero room for error. 2 losses already (1 is said not to count as a FBS loss at selection time, but we know that is BS). Have 2 huge games against current #1 and #2, which I think we can win either or both, but if we don't that is already 4 losses. S. Illinois can be tough, and is a road game, and those still aren't going well for us. I think the rest of the games on our schedule outside those three should not even be considered as not a win, but we also know the team has to play the game, and any L's outside of SDSU/NDSU rest of the season will be huge.
  15. Yes shouldn't had even mattered, but it did. There can be multiple things to blame. We could've absolutely took one of those things out of even consideration if we did our job earlier.
  16. Outside of the illegal touching, and a couple false starts, what were the stupid ass penalties? I don't think the horsecollar, or 2/3 DPI on last 2 drives can be considered when they didn't meet the requirements to be called at any other point of the game.
  17. Anyone have a still shot of the line of scrimmage with the illegal touching? I also don't think we attempted that play again after that?
  18. Also interesting that Herder has called out some of these similar type of calls in FCS/FBS matchups, but I doubt he'll mention anything here about just even being questionable or debatable.
  19. I am actually surprised that we didn't get into the further lost points by trying to go for 2 to make up the missed FG.
  20. i can only recall one time not trying for kicks the 4th from the like 3 in the 1st half. The series right before half I think totally expected to be able to get a play off with the 6/7 secs we had, usually that is a attempt at the end zone or throw away to keep clock, think the last play before half was completely Jerry deciding not to spike it thinking he could catch them off guard or thinking the clock would run out if he spiked it.
  21. We also should've had something drawn up to atleast drain any sort of clock when having the FB with the lead under 5 minutes. Same thing at KSU, can't find a way to get anything off the clock leaving tons of time. Also if they were manned up so close in tight how did no receiver find any space on that last series, I would assume they were playing no deeps (unlike UND who played give them open deeps on last drive), and man upped as they were grabbing our guys on flats, was there nothing in the middle at all?
  22. Those would typically be called borderline, if they were the ones that go either way all game long. But when all 2nd half our receivers can be completely wrapped up and no call those can't even be called borderline anymore. That was terrible.
  23. alot of balls in the 2nd half that Jerry didn't even give his receivers a chance. The last 2 that he did the defenders had them all tied up. But numerous throws that were not open or not where the WR was, or was going.
  24. I would say the only terrible series by the D was the last one. The previous scoring drive wall all due to the DPI, that were not called at all before that or after that against Montana. Also the horse collar may have been on last scording drive that was not there. They bailed out the offense all day, until they had to attempt to bail out the offense and fight against the officials.
  25. 3 potential penalties on that? 1. D offsides? 2. Obvious DPI, 3. Late hit on QB?
