NDSU can start a women’s program at the same cost as s Bemdiji St. UND could do but they’d have to use Gambucci or something smaller.

A poster on a realignment board insists Air Force will be joining the American for football in two years. The question was raised where would they go for Olympic sports. The MVC has rejected them in the past. The Summit League could be a viable home. Even have Denver as a viable travel partner.

He can afford it with all the money he and the UMD coach highjacked from the Minnesota treasury. These trial lawyers are just a modern day version of the Jesse James gang, just find a law that may have a loophole.

Is Six man football viable for small ND towns?
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Non-collegiate sports
So Midway-Minto is going six man fb. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/football/4459568-midway-minto-taking-6-man-football-route -
Miami and WMU would never go to the WCHA, but a new CCHA started by BGSU and Oakland with Niagara, Canisius, Mercyhurst etc around Lake Erie. The WCHA in now a laggard conference with no name DI schools that BGSU desparately wants to get out of.
-
Don’t think Miami or WMU would like that. Might have a mutiny. But if more PAC12 or UNLV/ Boise St teams add hockey, St Cloud and Duluth wouldn’t want that many western teams in the league.

Play at Penn St Nov 21. http://www.altoonamirror.com/sports/psu/2018/06/psu-men-will-open-season-at-home/ The women also play at Penn St the same day. http://www.lockhaven.com/sports/local-sports/2018/06/nine-home-games-on-lions-non-b1g-slate/

If I was President of IPFW, WIU, or ORU, would strategically leave in a split second if had a decent offer (IPFW to Horizon, WIU to Horizon or OVC, and ORU to WAC). Those are so much better spots for them. Douple and local sport writers continue to think they are perfectly happy. That’s incompetence of the highest order.

Online is only 10% of retail right now. But some brands like Sears have almost zero. Even WalMart is moving more to online and making their stores a pickup center. Losing 10% of sales is often enough to force a store out of business. Sears was sick 10 years ago, now it’s terminal. https://www.statista.com/statistics/379112/e-commerce-share-of-retail-sales-in-us/ Kohls actually will partition its stores to include on-line stores that haven’t had a previous presence making it more like a mall within a big box store. There is a big push for some online stores to have a physical footprint. But that will be harder for Grand Forks. .http://www.nreionline.com/retail/online-retailers-continue-grow-their-physical-footprints

Why not offer to switch IPFW for UWGB for no cost? Offer to help UWGB with scheduling if they add hockey. Green Bay would be an outlier for the Horizon if Milwaukee gets in the MVC and IPFW is right in the center of the Horizon. But you never hear any viable proposals from the Summit as Douple doesn’t have vision. Don’t need more DII teams as that signifies the Summit League is a bottom feeder to even recruits..

Sanford Health has donated $5 million to endow MSU-Mankato’s men’s basketball. http://www.msumavericks.com/news/2016/12/7/general-minnesota-state-athletics-receives-5-million-gift-commitment-for-scholarship-endowment-from-sanford-health.aspx?path=general its almost as if the Summit should change its name to the Sanford Health Conference, as Sanford seems tome trying to buy the way in for Augie and Mankato. They already nearly own USD and SDSU and have much influence at NDSU.

South Dakota has authorized six man football. Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado have it. Why not ND with all the small high schools in the state? Seems better than consolidating and having 8th graders play against seniors. https://trib.com/sports/high-school/football/addition-of--man-football-in-south-dakota-could-have/article_c0070715-3771-5bc1-a0dd-79326ee5f3a4.html

Krabbenhoft talks a good game for Augie going to the Summit. Later, he talks of creating a 10 year plan. It’s already too late for a DII to get invited to DI. Bisonville and SD boards can calm down. http://kwsn.com/podcasts/sports-talk-with-kwsn/5093/sanford-ceo-kelby-krabbenhoft-on-why-augie-would-succeed-in-div-i/#.WxqVPWCCkTM.twitter

Is it possible that Trey is just taking summer credits at the Des Moines Area Community College in order to be in the vicinity to play in that summer league? Don’t know if that’s allowed by NCAA regs or not.

This article says LIU Brooklyn will likely join the CHA, and Lindenwood women may move from the CHA to the WCHA. https://www.theicegarden.com/2018/6/5/17428062/liu-brooklyn-add-ncaa-division-i-womens-hockey-program-in-2019-2020 LIU Brooklyn could start a men’s team and go to Atlantic Hockey. Nassau County Coliseum is so much smaller seating capacity after its renovation and it needs lower level hockey teams. Lindenwood could start a DI men’s ice hockey team too, as they already have a DI club team, and get a spot in the WCHA there too.

Bison radio actually had a important interview here. CUSA/Sun Belt/Horizon will have some interlocking scheduled games that will help their RPI. These games would be announced late in the season and wouldn’t be just a league challenge series. The Summit may join it later.
