Kasowski said they want to preserve Weah’s redshirt (he can play in 4 games) but may use him more in other games if RB’s get injured.
-
Weber 14-3 over EWU in the 2nd UCDavis with a quick TD on ISU in the first
-
Is Bruggeman injured? She has not played yet. 20-18 NDSU.

Tech and Anchorage were probably the biggest McLeod boosters. Here’s part II: http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4513130-nchc-part-2-building-league-and-re-do-commissioner

Minn Duluth has been a recent champion. The one home game doesn’t sully Notre Dame’s image like being in a conference with mostly midwest dregs (including UND in that).
-
NDSU’s club hockey wears their true colors too: yellow and brown.
-
USD, SDSU and NDSU are too fearful of killing it because it would dry up Sanford’s vaunted money trail. Leave it to UND, DU and Omaha to do the mercy killing. Augie can start hockey in the WCHA.
-
And that means the FGCU mbb team will be dead as soon as the other sports arrive. Penn has a football team too and all Philadelphia goes to the games.
-
Really. Like the Forum issues retractions to their B. S? It’s the same ol’ song and dance from the Foolem and bizen faithfull as when they played DII Ferris St and justified the hell out of it.

An article in the NIU student paper imploring them to start hockey. NIU historically has had really bad men’s basketball, so hockey may have a chance. But the nearest decent sized rink is in the next county (Kane) over where the Chicago Steel USHL teams plays. https://northernstar.info/sports/illinois-lacks-division-i-hockey/article_fc47c53c-ccee-11e8-89e7-d35ebbc1445b.html

This article posits that Lipscomb, Grand Canyon and Penn may be the next Final Four darling. https://www.midmajormadness.com/2018/8/14/17688380/the-cinderella-code-part-6-who-will-be-next-mid-major-to-make-the-final-four-grand-canyon-penn Almost all the underdog stars with a big run in the Big Dance have been non-football and non-hockey schools: Gonzaga (back some time), Butler, George Mason, Va Commonwealth, FGCU, and most recently Loyola-Chicago. Doesnt sound good for UND or any the the Dakotas.
-
Which is why Notre Dame didn’t want to degrade their image by playing DII and DIII schools. MAC schools as well as UND and DU were even just minimally acceptable. Even in Hockey East, all of its former DII schools, Merrimack and UMass-Lowell, have gone DI.

Most Northeastern Jewish kids are mostly far too secular to understand. Orthodox or Messianic Jews mostly do not send their kids to schools that denigrate faith like Elon professors do. Again, absolute cluelessness from you. But yet again the stock market crashes around the time of the Hebrew New Year. People like you will never make the connection.

Am suggesting that that article was an out and out spin job by the bison handlers at the forum. UNA was presented as a glamorous FCS move up and then losing to DII startup UWF is not reported. Klieman doesn’t keep track of all the FCS teams except the ones on his schedule so he gives bonus points to MVFC schools and Montana for previous reputation. The FCS coaches poll is an outright abortion because they don’t care about FCS itself.

Didn’t realize that the NCHC had early talks only including the six DI schools: UND, DU, Notre Dame, BGSU, Miami, and WMU. Obviously that changed, but it’s something that show being DI is important. Omaha later moved to DI and UMD, St Cloud St and CC weren’t included for early on. Must have realized the importance of a central tournament in the Cities. Notre Dame was probably very particular about only DI schools.

Just wanted a thread for the three-part history series on the Formation of the NCHC. Part 1: http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4512561-nchc-series-part-1-how-nchc-was-formed Part 2: http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4513130-nchc-part-2-building-league-and-re-do-commissioner

Will Houston get the 33rd team? https://thehockeynews.com/news/article/the-nhl-will-be-in-houston-someday-because-jeremy-jacobs-says-it-will

No offense to Mr Stanley, but the one thing this team can use is a burner. Hope Luke has picked up speed while recovering.

Another ignorant article from the Forum and McFeely. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/football/4512221-small-school-elon-theres-no-more-crying-football Elon is a prestigious school where the average incoming student has more than a 4.0 average and nearly a 30 ACT. It joined the CAA because it wanted its name in front of more Northeasterners, who make up more than 50% of the students. It didn’t join the Southern Conference because too many of it’s schools like Furman, Wofford, Sanford, Mercer, Citadel etc are truly small private schools that mostly recruit kids from their backyards. It wanted more educated kids that have parents that can afford their tuition. Not trying to be offensive or anything, but Elon’s student body is 12% Jewish, and they are known to value education dearly. Elon and Campbell are much more highly looked upon schools in NC that a ND reporter with zero knowledge would ever know.

Tanner Gueller was named national player of the week in ISU’s 62-28 victory over recent FBS Idaho. http://www.fcs.football/cfb/potw.asp

UND got pumped by Pitt 3-0 and the combined score was 75-46. Williams played in all three sets, but Chwialkowski also played in two.

Barstool Sports ranks UND #246 out of 353 DI teams. They mentioned Crandall leaving but that’s about it. https://www.barstoolsports.com/barstoolu/its-time-to-argue-ranking-all-353-division-i-college-basketball-teams-for-the-2018-19-season Another rating all SI teams where UND comes in at #258: http://barttorvik.com/

Minnesota has got a new pro team. Some of those comment about how the NWHL will soon be on par with the NHL just leave one breathless. http://www.startribune.com/hockey-history-minnesota-s-first-women-s-pro-game-comes-with-mix-of-uncertainty/495192371/

Could be a very tough week coming up. First at Pitt, who are a ranked team. Then at NDSU, who beat IPFW on the road and are just one game behind UND. This team seems to really struggle on the road.

The FCS polls use another system beyond voting that isn’t public. A team gets points for how many wins they have had in the playoffs for the past twenty years and deducts points for every year missed for twenty years, but the points deducted do not apply for Montana and UNI. In fact, Montana and UNI got bonus points for playing each other. UCDavis, Idaho St, Weber St, UND and Montana St should all have more votes than Montana who had a bad loss to PSU by any logical voter, but their isn’t any in FCS.
