Well hopefully some of your positivity will trickle down to me. I did not like what I saw this evening.

This loss really burns me. I don’t even know how many shots went high and wide this evening. Some one mentioned shooting into the goalie and there was lots of that tonight when they did get a shot on net. UND could have and should have won this game.

I know we certainly deserve most of the penalties we get but tonight I saw a UND player get checked from behind or at the very least boarding or charging right in front of the ref and he did nothing. Did anyone else catch that?

I don’t like to complain about officials because it is pointless but that had to be one of the worst called hockey games I have seen in a while. I really wish the league would hold these refs accountable.

What is going on with some of our fast food restaurants lately. Taco Bell has always been somewhat improperly managed but that place seems like a mess and now you have KFC who doesn’t even have chicken available at times. I was in Taco Bell a couple weeks ago and that place just scared me. I have never understood why it is so poorly run. Anyway my point was if a place if business is poorly run just imagine the food handling and prep that is in place and it makes me really worried.

The university is trying so hard to improve the game day experience snd unfortunately they have to work with this. All the hype and momentum they had going from last year coupled with the reinvestment of the game day experience has had the life sucked out of it the last three weeks. I hope people will keep going to the games but I have a feeling that won’t be the case if they continue to play poorly. I am not pointing my finger at anyone but it all starts with coaching and recruiting. It seems to me, and I could be wrong, but the last few years we have had a fair number of players get injuried in preseason or practice and it’s seems to be some of our most impactful players. Bubba and co need to get things figured out quickly or all the goodwill will turn very quickly on this coaching staff.

This loss certainly doesn't help the fan momentum coupled with the whole game day experience upgrades, and it feels like the air has just been let out of the room. If you want butts in seats you need to have a good product on the field. Today we took a huge step back.

How so? I am happy to land him but I have never heard of his name. He isn't even the best player in HS in North Dakota. Again not disparaging him at all and I am happy he is joining the UND family. Welcome Tyler.

I don't know if it is part of the deal with being a volunteer coach but Karl also taught some classes for the College of Business. Sports Finance and maybe Sports Management. Karl is a good guy and I am happy for him. When the announcement came out I was super happy he was working for the Lighting. I was a little bummed that it ended up being for their minor team in Syracuse. I guess you have to get your foot in the door.

Drove by GreenMill yesterday and saw cars and people eating outside. They must be back up and running. I wonder if the owner dumped the GM. Sounds like they were alerted to issues multiple times but didn't do anything. GM needs to go if that's the case.

I would have loved to see Wilkie succeed here, I was hoping this would be his breakout year. Good luck Chris, I am sure you will be playing in the Ralph again but this time wearing a CC jersey. Didn't Wade Murphy transfer to ASU, sit out a season, play a season, then leave to play pro? Wonder if Wilkie will end up doing the same. Of course then he may not be able to play with his brother.

Ask a guy like Colton Sanderson if transferring or giving up on UND is the right choice. I think he may have a thing or two to say about that.

Not a fan of the Sioux Falls regional. I am sure others will like it but I have no desire to go to Sioux Falls South Dakota. REA should have regionals and if they can't then Fargo is the next best thing.

Not a fan of the Siouxfalls regional. Would much rather see it in Fargo.

Tough to watch, wishing UND was here. Still think UMD is the illegitimate winner out of the west regional.

Whether we agree or disagree about the move to eliminate these programs. Do you think it could have been handled a little bit better? If they were targeting these sports they should have met and made the coaches aware before announcing it. If they had the time to let the WCHA know they certainly could have at least let the coaches know. Having a recruit here for the women's team is just down right embarrassing.

If true that is really to bad. I do understand the financial implications and hope that some donors can step up and help the WH team. I feel bad for the students and will miss watching them play.

Well we know two things for sure. 1. There will be a new champion. 2. The Gophers won't be there either.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jost, Pogo, Cam and of course Poolman and Boeser all leave early. With that said we really need to improve upon our power play. It was probably the single most thing that caused us to lose last night and some losses this year, outside of guys not being able to finish and injuries to key players. For all the hype that this BU team had or has, our guys went toe-to-toe with them and actually outplayed them for most of the game. To me it felt like that Michigan game back in 2011, albeit we weren't as far into the tournament. It will be interesting to see how UMD matches up with them as both teams like to use sticks and hold and block a ton of shots. Will it be a parade to the box like the NCHC championship game?

I am still just pissed UND didn't win. It makes it so much worse that we dominated pretty much the whole game.
