As a buddy once told me, 2nd round pick in the NBA = filers, salary dumps and Euro-stash Can you get really good players in the 2nd round, yes you can. (see Dennis Rodman). But more often than not its used for one of those 3 options above, You can literally buy 2nd round picks if you want it. The Wolves were not going to bring in 3 players, especially 2 with non-guaranteed deals. The deal they got for Tyus (trading 2 2nd round picks this year and a 2019 2nd round, which they have more than 1 with Miami's 2019 2nd rounder) is great value. T-Wolves needed to fill 2 holes and they did in the draft. A true backup point guard to shift LaVine to the 2 spot, and a Center in KAT. The Wolves have a lot of potential in the next few years and some of that will begin to pay dividends next year, so long as they 1) Develop and 2) Stay Healthy It will fun to see the Wolves fleece the Cavs again 2 years in a row.

And stops the lavine experiment at the point to slide at the more natural 2 spot

Twins manage to take 2 of 3 from the god awful White Sox. How people though they could compete for a wild card spot is beyond me. Buxton strikes out 4 times Tonkin was send down, could Meyer finally get called up to help out the pen?

If Vegas and Seattle are chosen, how would divisions be realigned. They wouldn't put Vegas in the Central would they? Would there be a major realignment again? What about during that time Florida heads to QC and Arizona goes to Portland?

IIRC, they were told to rank their choices 1 to 7 and go from there. Im guessing an early July meeting takes care of that and they decide how the vote will run at the late July meeting.

I start it 1) I think they take 4 2) Despite what they say, I think those rankings they gave last week are an indication and expecting Roughriders, North Stars, Sundogs and Nodaks to move on 3) The vote will start in September, giving enough promotion time and students to return to campus, it will be done online, and will be limited (after much debate between Kelley and the committee) to UND ties ONLY (UND fans/students/alumni/faculty etc). The name will be announce at homecoming.

Lets steer away from polls for a second. I predict a July meeting and they decide the finalists. I pose these questions. 1) How many names will advance?(2 to maybe 4) 2) What are the names that will advance to the finalists? 3) How do the committee finally decide how to conduct the vote, when the vote happens, and who gets to choose?

If UND want to make a run to the top of the Sky, these three things needs to happen 1) Development of Shanks and Cashman into more consistent post players. 2) Newcomers need to make an immediate impact 3) Hooker takes next step in his development and becomes a Big Sky POY candidate. Anybody hear how summer is going for these guys?
