  1. I'd say that is about right, any of those top 4 could win the conference this year.
  2. They did, but Kelley also has asked for feedback and in the Herald did the article about the next step, the student body President said he would send this survey out. What is more likely, the student to follow the committee or to support putting it back on (knowing that the sport that stirs the drink on campus is 100% behind no nickname, you could throw women's hockey on there as well)
  3. 1 question. A Yes, No, Not sure are the option. No comments but can email for concerns. Strictly to ask should North Dakota/no nickname be added to the list of considered nicknames. Nothing else about the other 5
  4. Just receive an email from the incoming student body president putting out a survey for the students asking should North Dakota/no nickname be back on the list for consideration for a final nickname. These results will be shown to President Kelley after the survey has been closed (which closes on Thursday). Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know how the students will voice their opinion on this issue.
  5. He better make it sooner rather than later... the minute the students return the campus, the blowback if No nickname/Just UND doesn't return on the list will be 10x worse than it would if it were made this week.
  6. Get Berrios up here now...
  7. Looks like Bolduc has left the team, and Miller hinted at another defensive addition early next week... Another DL or Corner?
  8. If the worst thing in the world is that he turns into another Schuler or Hobaugh is that necessary a bad thing? We need role players too. I wouldn't worry about it too much. From what I heard he has had a pretty decent summer.
  9. Yes, he admitted it. http://www.startribune.com/u-s-teague-quits-after-inappropriate-texts/321038541/ My gopher buddies are freaking out about this.
  10. Now the follow up question. How long has the University KNOWN this information from the NCAA?
  11. I could see a 4,5 win season and the same amount of conference wins... worse case best case, if everything clicks... 8-3 and 7-1 conference record Breaking down the schedule into 3 tiers Likely wins: UC Davis, Drake, UNC, @PSU Toss ups: MSU, @ Weber, ISU, @ Poly Likely losses: @ Wyo, @ Mont, @ NDSU My bell-weather game for the season will be the homecoming game at ISU. I think we go into that game 3-2 and 2-0 in the BSC. If we win it, I can see it turning into a 7 win season. If not, more like a 5 win season. Out of the likely losses, I see Montana as the best bet to steal. Weber is a toss up due to the events of last season. PSU will be the toughest of the likely win group (since it is on the road). Can't wait to check out some practices in a few weeks. *Edit: Yes it is the same thing I said last year... I do not care!
  12. I'll take a bite at this apple. Outside of about 50 people in Clifford Hall, that is the Department of Atmospheric Sciences (i.e Meteorologists), it would be hard to find anyone to know what is a Sundog. It is an atmospheric phenomena that occurs in the wintertime. That is problem #1, which is exasperated by the Herald when in their crude logo use a dog... yes a dog to represent it. I swear some people are expecting a dog with a sun body suit on his head (I kid you not, that is what I heard last week). Same issue with Nodaks, how in the world do you represent it? Especially with the color scheme of Green and White? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy looking at one in the dead of winter. I just don't think it should represent a state flagship university. Sounds perfect for the new elementary school in GF however. Plus why would we support a name that our rivals openly support? I could go with the conspiracy theory route (what the anti-nickname crowd wants, Kelley has the fix in (although it is telling that Kelley's hand picked person on the committee voted Sundogs #1). But logic should rule the day
  13. 1st of 10 practices begins today before the European Vacation starts. Anyone on the inside know of anywhere we can follow, similar to when the Women went to Canada and could watch the exhibition games? I look forward to hearing how the new guys mesh in with Hooker and company.
  14. To quote Paul Allen: NO!!!!
  15. Bases loaded, up 5-1 and Hicks struck out looking. If he gets a hit its the knockout blow, similar to the 2nd game against Oakland. Regroup with Gibby tomorrow. I did like the May in the 8th inning role. Lets see more of that if he is going to be in the pen for a while.
  16. So in the 7 total 2 DBs 2 LBs 1 OL 1 TE 1 RB not a bad start
  17. Twins doing it again, 2 more bombs against the Yanks. 5-0 in the 3rd.
  18. Oscar is coming back after all?
  19. Here is something you don't see The Twins killing the Yankees 10-0 with 4 Home Runs.
  20. 3 more verbals OLB Grier from Andover, MN CB Holm from Edina, MN TE Pinke from Wishek, ND
  21. I agree on all 3, especially the last point. The development of our bigs will be the biggest factor to our success this season.
  22. Until UND/no nickname is "officially" back on the ballot, my list stands as follows 1A) Roughriders 1B) North Stars 3) Fighting Hawks 4) Nodaks 5) overrated atmospheric phenomena that happens in the wintertime FH is growing on me, because of the so many hidden meaning potentials it could have (illuminati! ok I am slightly joking on that one). As for the trademark issues for my top 2 pick, I couldn't care less... If there is a way to make it work, do it. If either RR or NS got chopped before the final vote I won't complain.... if both do, then I'll be slightly disappointed. IF... UND/no nickname gets added on, I reserve the right the re-rank. I will still state this however... if 4 or more names are left on the ballot, I feel that it is necessary to have 2 rounds of voting to establish a majority winner.
