It will be a long, long, long time before any of the MNSCU schools even think of D-1. It would be hard to see Mankato and Duluth give up FB. SCSU is always in a budget crunch. If there are 2 spots in the Summit for whatever reason, it wouldn't hurt to throw a feeler to the Montana schools.

So what's next? Do they: A) They think they have the core capable of brining home the cup, but its running out of time so they make big moves to go "all in" B) Realize that they have gotten all that they can out of the current core and its time to overhaul. C) Stand pat

The counter argument to this is that if they were headaches, with players that are more "for the team" it will make them better. We have seen before what happens with a few bad attitudes can do to a locker room.

There are still two questions that bug me out of this whole thing 1) The "list of 12" sports when the IAC was in session, who was ultimately responsible for coming up with that list? Was it Kennedy? Faison? IAC? someone else? 2) Why was this bookkeeping concept accepted for so long within the athletic department?

2 former players were able to find homes today. Campbell to Wisco and MacMillan is going back to Canada to play (Ottawa).

That would definitely be a nice conference... albeit very unlikely at this point. To your first point however, I agree with you that the MVC adding 1 school wont really move the needle. They really need to shoot for 12 and get 3 in. Although adding 1 is still better than standing pat.
