So in your opinion, what moves does the Summit make? I would be shocked if IFPW was still around by the time UND comes in next year. I don't think it would hurt to send out a feeler out to the Montana schools, but there would be a lot that would be needed to work out.

The thing with NMSU is that they could just be happy with being in the WAC and in their minds be a easier path to march madness for basketball. This might be a unpopular take, but if UND ever had to start a mens sport for whatever reason, I'd go with soccer. That's not a knock on baseball, that's just looking into the future.

In this case Omaha needs to change their name. Nebraska State it is!

I am all for this Great North Idea. I don't think it would hurt to call the Montana schools about them joining. Saw someone ask about Utah Valley, I'd take them over GCU but would still be at the bottom of my list.

Right off the bat with the league favorite Idaho at home, then the brutal Montana swing, then home to Weber and ISU. Then repeat the swing in Jan/Feb. Good news? After the game at Weber, schedule is softer the rest of the way. This is definitely a harder conference schedule on paper than last year.

So how soon does the Horizon decide to add their 2 members to get to 12 and now how soon does the Summit react. Will this more than likely mean another team or two will come in with UND in 18-19?

Come on Douple, go get the Montana schools. We can make the football work out later. A league with the Montana and Dakota schools as the linchpin and Sioux Falls for the tourney. A person can dream, but somehow they might just setting with the UNC, UMKC options.... maybe NMSU. This is the time of the year where I attempt to piece the conference schedule together based off of whatever conference team schedule (men's or women's) is up. Found the first 6 games so far 1/4 @ Montana 1/6 @ MSU 2/1 MSU 2/3 Montana 2/15 SUU 2/17 NAU That likely mean Weber and ISU will be on the road since we only get them once this year, and everyone else we get home and homes (EWU, Idaho, PSU, SAC, UNC)
