I'd say my one minor complaint would be I would have liked to see a distinction in the conference banners (WCHA vs NCHC). But I love...… the historical connections.

Not saying that it wouldn't have been nice to land him, but UND has more pressing needs to fill than at the 3 and the 4 spot.

I hope he can develop a consistent outside shot (shooting 32% from 3 is NOT a recipe for success). I'll take it a step further: If the senior class can step up a notch or two that would be significant. Going to be interesting to see how Walter and Brown are used this year (are they starters in front of Rebraca and Moody? Do Walter and Rebraca start together?) Of course with a new set of eyes looking at the roster, this might mean different rotations or players, who didn't get much of a run, now has a new chance to show the new staff what they got. I think top 4 is reasonable expectations in a wide open league next year.

Now that the staff is in place and the team is mostly in place, minus one scholarship. What should expectations be in Year 1?

I honestly do not blame any of the 7 schools for taking action. Sometimes you have to make the decision before the decision is made for you.

Would Illinois be starting only a men's team?

If you found a way to make an exception for St. Thomas so they can transition in 5 years, I'd take them over Augie in a heartbeat.
