To my recollection there were zero sacks or even forced rushes on the UM qb. Can't put this disaster all on the defensive backs. Having said that I noticed that too often our DB's were not looking back toward the ball when the Montana WR's turned to look, which would be a fundamentals problem.

There is still some opportunity for a degree of redemption for this football team as the rest of the season plays out. Both of the MT teams are still up, including MSU at home. I will be onboard following the team the rest of the way. Last year we won the final two games behind electrifying performances from Garman. But the coaching staff must be able to react to late game adjustments from the opposition.

I will also be voting for Nodaks. Nodaks was for a time a second name to Sioux. Going with Nodaks will accommodate fans still viewing the teams as the Sioux (unofficially) if they so desire with more continuity with tradition than any of the other choices. It is also the best choice for those who preferred no new name at all.

If the Bengal defense is as bad as its previous games indicate, we should be able to play our ball control game to great effect, keeping Ratelle and company fresh. Just don't put the ball on the ground four or five times like we did last week...we may not get all but one of those fumbles back today.

Just say no to (anything) Hawks. We don't need a cliché for a name. I can live with any of the others but prefer Nodaks because it is unique and analogous to Illini and Sooners, names that respective fan bases have long ago embraced. Additionally, Nodaks does not require assuming a new identity since it has historical use.

If the Bisons play 8 or 9 in the box to stop the run, then we need to make them pay in the passing game even though philosophically we are a run first team. This approach seemed to work in the first half versus Drake. If the run game is not there, its not there.
