If UND wins then we will have a 7-4 record, same as the loser of the NAU/SUU game. Both SUU and NAU have as one of their wins a sub-FCS opponent. So my speculation is that UND would then jump ahead of the loser of that game.

Well, prior to the Wyoming game the conventional wisdom was that the Cowboys would mop the floor with us. So in my mind the UND win in Laramie should be meaningful, but my opinion carries exactly zero weight. BTW, the games of interest next Saturday will be played in Cheney, Cedar City, Bozeman, and, of course, on Cal Poly's home turf.

So, from the ongoing discussion, our best chances of getting into playoffs occur under the following scenario: UND wins PSU beats EWU MSU beats MU SUU beats NAU (not sure about this one, correct me if wrong) Checking the schedule, one could spend all day next Saturday watching things unfold. MSU/MU play noonish/early afternoon. PSU/EWU and SUU/NAU start late afternoon. UND plays Poly at 8 PM Central.

Voted Roughriders after voting Nodaks in previous rounds. I do not understand how in some peoples' minds having a HS team in town named RR's is more of a detraction than becoming another Hawks team in our own hockey conference. I have been a fan of the UND FB team almost my whole life and the hockey team nearly as long, but I have to say that becoming Fighting Hawks will dampen my enthusiasm, at least for awhile.

Having to accept losing Fighting Sioux was easier for me than having to accept F. Hawks.

Somewhere, maybe here, I read a description of a consultant as someone who borrows your watch to tell you what time it is and then keeps the watch. This description fits the consultants who gave us Fighting Hawks. I think this is what bothers me so much, is they are going to have a big payday at our expense of having a cliché for a name, and it took them maybe three minutes of their precious lives to come up with it.

Seems the only criterion that counts is that the consultants have their payday. I bet it took them three minutes at most to come up with Fighting Hawks.

With another Hawks team in our major sport conference, Fighting Hawks should never have made the first cut six months ago or whenever that was. This process has been embarrassing lame.

I have yet to see Wallace make a key play in crunch time. There was one long pass to him that went slightly ahead of him that Diggs would have stretch out to try and catch.

Plenty of liberals like me too, the point being the name Nodaks does not define someone as being racist or as someone that has a callous disregard for life.

Given TR's racism and now seeing those trophy hunting pictures, Roughriders is now my third choice. I will vote for Fighting Hawks rather than Roughriders if it comes to that choice. TRophy hunting is disgusting. Go Nodaks.

I am in the Nodak camp but could live with Roughriders. What I have a hard time with is the consultants who recommended Fighting Hawks collecting their finders fee after spending all of three minutes of their precious lives coming up with that name.

I am in the group that could get behind either RRs or Nodaks. Not happy about the capricious midstream rule change that makes it unlikely we get either. We will likely have a cliche for a name.
