You could find the money from private donors if you really wanted to do it. Not having a MBB team that regularly contends for March Madness is dragging down the entire athletic department.

It is time for FBS P5 and G5 divisions, with a playoff bracket for each. The gap in resources and media exposure between those two groups is wide and getting wider.

There is a process they have to follow. Until they narrow down the candidates, you won't hear much.

And we need to care about what NDSU is doing because we are in the same region and in a couple of years will be in the same conference. What happens to them affects us, good or bad.

If we were in NDSU's position, I would not be making overconfident comments about how all my team has to do is not turn it over and they'll come home "smiling". That completely ignores the fact that JMU is the defending FCS champion and is on a 26 game winning streak AND beat the mighty Bison last year in the Not-So Fabulous Fargodome. You don't take games like that lightly. And I wouldn't if UND was facing JMU for all the marbles. Overconfidence has brought down many a dynasty in sports. It is the primary reason why they eventually crumble. And we are under no obligation to kiss NDSU's collective backsides regarding their success. Just like they are under no obligation to slobber praise on our hockey team winning NCAA titles. It's a rivalry, not a mutual admiration society. That is how rivalries work. And this is Siouxsports.com, not Bisonville. We can and will take shots at NDSU. As long as their fans keep calling hockey a "fake sport", I will continue my smack talk.

They haven't won the conference tournament since 2014. That is 3 (going on 4) years. That is my "logic". And I don't think blowing late game leads on a regular basis is "fun to watch". Neither are all the turnovers. They have talent, but they are grossly underachieving right now.

I don't care what he did before this season. Keenum is earning himself a nice contract, either in Minnesota or someplace else. And I wouldn't be too hard on Hundley. The kid got put into a tough situation and I think he did the best he could.

Minot State isn't a rival of ours. UND boosters rooting for NDSU in the FCS playoffs is like Auburn fans rooting for Alabama tonight in the FBS semifinals. To each their own, I guess.

With all due respect, this is one of the problems with our fan base. Do you think for one second that people on Bisonville root for our hockey team to win NCAA titles? I don't think so. They probably root for us to lose every game. So I will return the favor. This habit of our fan base rooting for our rivals (remember all the love for GVSU back in the day?) when they are successful nationally is nauseating and does nothing to help promote UND as the Flagship campus that it is. Agreed. I am sick and tired of this team underachieving. Brewster has talent to work with, but they can't hold leads and lose games they shouldn't lose. You rarely saw one of Roebuck's teams blow big leads late in the game. I think after Jones, Brewster is #2 on the coaching hot seat.
