But some people will insist that we have no excuse not to win today. No team, not even mighty NDSU, could sustain this many injuries at one time and still keep rolling along like nothing happened. This season cannot end soon enough.

NORTH DAKOTA vs. St Lawrence - FRIDAY Gameday
fightingsioux4life replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
You mean like BU's "Diaper Dandies" last year? The ones that have already left for the NHL or Major Juniors? I don't know if The John Calipari Method necessarily works in hockey. It is too soon to judge this team. If they still are struggling to get pucks to the net around Christmas time, then I will start being concerned. -
NORTH DAKOTA vs. St Lawrence - FRIDAY Gameday

This is what most of us expected. Solid in goal. Solid on the blue line. Lots of growing pains up front. These guys have tons of speed and skill, but they have to learn how to use it at this level. The young guys also need to learn that you must bring it for 60 minutes, not 10 or 20 or 30, if you want to win games at this level. The line combos will figure themselves out. Looking forward to tonight. -
Well, we have hockey at home vs. St. Lawrence to focus on. Even though Schlossman thinks we will split.
-
How many people even follow college wrestling? And I was responding to the comment referring to hockey as a "fake sport". It is not and I think you know that. Next question.
-
Here is the answer to your question: As long as FU fans keep spewing garbage like that, I will continue throwing D-I hockey in their faces. They could establish their own program and eventually have success with it, but they are too afraid of us. #thetruthhurts #inconvenienttruths

First good news we have had on the injury front in a long time.
-
And once we get past all the injuries and Mary Jane incidents, we'll get even bigger crowds as this program begins to have big-time success. We are closer to that than most people think.
-
You make some good points. But you cannot deny that our success in recruiting Minnesota kids started with Blais. Before Blais, very few Minnesotans would even think of coming to North Dakota. If it wasn't for Blais, Parise, Brady Murray, Brandon Bochenski and others would have worn the Maroon and Gold (ugh, the thought of it makes me ill).

It is nice that the coaches have lots of options at their disposal. Competition in practice will make all these guys better.
-
Yes it was, which is why it was a close game. The Bears are tough at home, but when they are on the road, they are terrible. I suspect the game at U.S. Bank later this year will be a blow-out in favor of the Purple.
-
I don't like where this season is apparently going. Looks like the Women's team will be much better this year.
-
SUCK PACK SUCK!
-
I was going to post that myself!
-
The Bears can be tough at home (pushed Atlanta to the limit, beat Pittsburgh), but are absolute garbage on the road. Last night was further proof of that. It was also further proof that Bradford is not healthy and needs to sit until he is. A win is a win and I'll take it. SKOL VIKINGS!!!

I said cheerlead, NOT "say anything positive about the Bison". Please get your facts straight if you are going to talk about my posts.
-
Well, stick around long enough and you will.
-
Our season is shot. All I want is for our young guys to get some quality reps and real game experience. And if you make a deep playoff run, I will not continue talking about your OOC schedule. I believe I said that earlier. You obviously didn't read all of it.
-
They put up a fight against SDSU at home.
-
I said FOUR out of the first Five. Nice try though. And I think Montana State could challenge for the top of the BSC. It is not a lock that EWU will win it.
-
If this happens (Cratter thinks it never will), we better position ourselves in Tier II and not Tier III.
-
Very funny. I am not suggesting you guys schedule two FBS money games and three games vs. Top 5 FCS teams. My point is that you don't prove anything by running up the score against teams like Mississippi Valley State. The meat of the MVFC schedule is coming up. That will tell us more about them.
-
I imagine it wouldn't be cheap to do that. Wonder if there is room in the budget for that.
-
I was responding to the comment that Bubba does the secondary coaching. If that isn't true, then I will happily retract the "delegating" comment.
-
And despite what they have accomplished over the past 6 years, it doesn't change the fact that four out of their first five games were against teams that would struggle to beat the top teams in the NSIC. If they want to continue to b!tch and moan about how soft our schedule is, then they should expect the same treatment from us. I don't go on Bisonville and make comments like that, but if they want to come here and do that, then they should expect some backlash. And that is what they will get from me. There is a sense from their fan base that nobody will come within three touchdowns of them from now to Frisco. Obviously, that notion will be tested as they move into the meat of the MVFC schedule. If they can run the table in the regular season, the quality of their first five teams won't matter to me or anyone else. But to say it is wrong to point out the softness of their schedule so far is pure hogwash. It is a legitimate point and legitimate topic of conversation. And if it was UND with NDSU's schedule, I would say the same thing. It is almost like there is some unwritten rule that UND fans are not supposed to talk about certain things with regard to NDSU and that is pure horse@%^&. I'll bring up whatever I want with them. This is a rivalry and that is how rivalries work. I would rather walk barefoot on hot, molten glass than cheerlead for them.
