All 4 Dakota schools and the 2 Montana schools, along with two other schools, moving up together is the only way FBS will happen for UND or NDSU. No G5 conference will accept any of the schools I mentioned above because they don't help with getting TV contracts.

I don't see us getting swept at home. A split is very likely.

I think it's too early to determine the ultimate fate of either team.

And we kicked theirs the night before. Don't talk like we got swept by them at home.

The growing pains were inevitable with a new head coach and more than half the roster turned over from last season. October is the month to iron out those wrinkles. Last Friday night was hard to watch, but they did what they needed to do and won on Saturday. I would love a sweep to start the conference schedule, along with the TCoS!

Just keep winning. The rest will take care of itself.

That would be great exposure for the rivalry and both programs.

Considering these kids have been listening to people like Don Cherry trash college hockey their entire lives, this does not surprise me.

The NFL should look into whether McCarthy was legitimately injured and couldn't play and wasn't on the injury report so they could bench him without actually benching him. The Patriots got into trouble for playing games with the injury reports in the mid 2000's.

And all of a sudden, with Wentz on the shelf, J.J. is available to play again! How convenient! Brosmer should have gotten a chance to start vs. the Chargers. I don't think he could have done any worse than Wentz did

Friday night was an unmitigated disaster. That being said, it's still October and this team is still figuring itself out.

Vikings force a turnover and are in the Red Zone.

But Schloss didn't tell us the most important stat of all: What were the xG numbers for those games?

If the refs are going to call the game like they did last weekend the rest of the season, we'll have to dial down the physicality for everyone. That is a concern going forward.

Hockey has never aligned very well with the other sports (B1G is a rare exception). I think the most realistic scenario is the 4 Dakota schools and the 2 Montana schools teaming up to form an FBS conference (along with a couple of other schools) which would also feature basketball and other olympic sports.

As long as we don't lose them to NDSU-CKS or another FCS program, I could swallow it. But if it comes down to UND or Miami (OH), I like our chances. Miami's FB program may be worse than their hockey program and that's saying something.

I think this is a young team that is still learning how to work together. The young guys need to understand that when you win on Friday, the other team will do everything they can to avoid getting swept on Saturday. Some lessons need to be learned the hard way.
