Besides Deng Deng, who else scares anyone? We need to build depth.

Maybe Schmidt can find someone in the portal.

I'm sure Schmidt has lots of coaches he worked with during his coaching stops that he could reach out to.

I am not a ducky and bunny guy on here and I never will be. But if you thought Schmidt was going to have this team contending for a championship in season one, you were setting yourself up for disappointment. -The depth isn't there. -The experience in big moments isn't there. -The lack of athletes at wide receiver hasn't been there for years. The portal will be important going forward. But the real measuring stick will be how Schmidt's recruiting classes pan out on the field. We'll find that out in the next couple of years. I am sure Schmidt and his staff will look at the season and identify areas that need improvement, both in personnel and in scheme. I know the past 15+ years have been frustrating and that whole Groundhog Day feeling is always just under the surface. But I still think Schmidt was a great choice long term. Less than 12 months is not a big enough sample size to determine if the hire was successful or not.

If you want to push for another coaching change, please go right on ahead.

I want the guys coming back next year to remember the sick feeling they have right now and use it as motivation for 2026. You aren't a loser until you quit trying.
