Notre Dame's "beef" is that they have a sense of entitlement and are used to getting what they want. That changed on Sunday and now they are complaining loudly about it. The entire collegiate sports world does NOT revolve around the almighty Fighting Irish. Along with NDSU-CKS losing, this was the best part of my weekend.

Exactly. Schmidt has done an extraordinary job with this program in a very short period of time. But we still lack the depth and elite talent needed to make a deep playoff run. The staff will need to hit the portal hard this off-season. The recruiting so far has been impressive and I think those kids will be called upon very early in their collegiate careers. But there absolutely needs to be a change at OC. It isn't all about the lack of execution on the field; coaching and play calling are very important at this level. Schmidt needs to find someone he has coached with during his travels and put him in at OC. The offense was absolutely offensive during the second half of the year and that has to change in 2026.

And I agree with you. Most cable channels suck today. I have seriously considered dumping cable altogether, but UND hockey is one of the reasons why I haven't pulled the trigger on that.

They have picked up the St. Cloud feed for those games before. Aside from the horribly homer broadcasting team, it wasn't all that bad. Is that too expensive for them now?

I would think most B1G institutions (as well as other P4 institutions) provide similar opportunities for their student-athletes post athletic career.

Unless you are in the Ivy League, it isn't all about academics. The Goofs pad their non-conference schedule with creampuffs, get blown out by good teams and settle for a lower tier bowl game that nobody else cares about. Iowa isn't OSU or Michigan either, but they are at least competitive with the higher end P4 FBS teams.

And yet, we are still playing.

Iowa is a legitimate FBS program in the B1G. I would take that offer too. Minnesota, on the other hand............
